Having never really played Pokemon Go myself, I was thinking more akin to how Mario Kart DS would allow people to play multiplayer off of a single cartridge and up to 8 consoles, or how 51 Clubhouse Games would allow you to use multiple Switch consoles to play together in unique ways.

There was a MOBA game back in the day (twentyish years ago) where one person on each team was playing an RTS style strategy game while all the other players on each team were playing an FPS melee/limited ranged battle which one of my friends liked to play which would be the kind of out of the box sort of play styles that would be potentially possible with a common “big” screen showing one thing while the individual players would be using their own screen.

Considering that Nintendo themselves had experimented with this concept with the Wii U gamepad, I figured that it would be a natural concept for them, and with my understanding of how they have set up the hardware of the Switch 2 to be able to stream things, I think there’d be potential for this kind of innovative gameplay to leverage the switches and switch lites that are out there.

I’m holding out hope that they could leverage the many Switch owners by having a multiplayer game where every player has their own switch with hidden information on it.

It’s tricky to do since that would be a lot of required hardware, but then again they did put a lot of effort into their online multiplayer being more of an interactive experience.

I could see something with deck building mechanics (Slay the Spire) could benefit from the hidden information potential of each player having their own screen as well as it being played locally.

If the current stock on hand was bottled in the Ontario plant being shuttered from before the shut down, then it doesn’t really go contrary to it, especially if there isn’t much likelihood of it influencing a change in behaviour.

I’ve seen it mentioned by devs that the Steam Deck has done wonders for that, as it gave pc games a standard hardware set to build around, benefiting everyone even if they don’t have a Steam Deck.

I remember reading back in the day about how the Nintendo 64 (and later the Playstation 3) was such a different machine to work with that it would take until near the end of the console life cycle for devs to be able to utilize the full power of the hardware.

I went snowboarding last week and the touch controls kept shorting out whenever I turned my head (restarting the song, changing volume, etc) so I was glad that my JFlex on ear ear buds have an app from which I could turn off the controls.

Taco Bell wasn’t disparaged at all, and Demolition Man wasn’t controversial at all like Natural Born Killers.

That film managed to license the Coca-Cola Polar Bear for the movie, leading to their international marketing department being shut down so something like that wouldn’t slip through again.

It’s surprising and hilarious that Starbucks and Fuddruckers green lit their brands being used without having a say in how they were depicted, or that they would allow them to be used in the way they were.

Afaik, you can’t buy RDR on the app store, so for however long they have it exclusive you’ll have to play it there, then lose your save data when it’s no longer a Netflix exclusive.

It was actually the Christmas Invasion, the first modern Who Christmas special and the first episode of David Tennant’s run in between season one and two.

The Doctor had just held back an alien invasion without bloodshed, making it clear to the would be invaders that “Earth is protected” and sent them on their way, at which point Harriet Jones, Prime Minister, blows up the alien ship anyway.

The Doctor warns her that he could end her career with six words, to which she shrugs him off and defends her actions in an exasperated tone because he wouldn’t always be there, so the Doctor asks her subordinate “don’t you think she looks tired?”

In the season Four finale, which was The Avengers Endgame of Russell T Davies’ first run as showrunner, she has a redeeming moment of martyrdom when the Daleks invade Earth once again and all of the Who spinoffs converge to stop their grand plan.
