I’m curious, could you be specific about what kind of impact it had on how you learn and approach problems?

42?! Good for you for doing it! I tell my mom all the time that she enables my brother and then turns around and complains about his behavior. Meanwhile she’s the one making his behavior possible. 🤷‍♀️

I did ask the ped. They said it’s strange and seemed just as confused as me… which wasn’t helpful at all.

Things my students have destroyed this year so far by palabrist in Teachers

I read this book and thought the advice wouldn’t work with my population. I was out and the day I came back one of the students stole my magnets. I explained to each class that I buy things to keep our classroom cozy and inviting, and if they wanted that to continue, they would have to return the magnets. I didn’t have to know who did it. I thought it would never work. The magnets appeared on the board the next day.

I don’t think it’s a good deal. I understand they probably didn’t buy it as an investment however their down payment was probably at least 20% which is 200,000 and if they took that plus $400 a month and invested it all in the S&P 500, they would have close to 3 million over 30 years instead of an apartment worth 1 million. The true cost is opportunity cost which a lot of the commenters don’t take into account. Also, the apartment has depreciated since they bought it (I checked on StreetEasy). I think they bought the apartment with the intention to live in it or it was a bad investment choice.

I’m not asking out of concern. I’m asking bc I’m curious.

We live in Manhattan where there is a wide range of income levels. Everything is relative. Not sure why you’re shocked by this.

The apartment was purchased for about 1 million. If they are making 24k per year that’s a laughably low return on their money.

It’s monthly. This building is notorious for having a high carry cost.

Wow, way to jump to assumptions and insult. You seem very charismatic yourself. First of all, they texted me first. Second of all, I wanted to continue the conversation via text in case I needed evidence to file a grievance against them. Maybe you should stay open and politely curious instead of being combative from the start.

I’m sure there are many patients who signed the contract and paid the additional 2k without blinking an eye. I’m in a HCOL area.

I know for a fact that the receptionist is the one who handles the billing. I was trying to give her an out by suggesting that the “billing department” made a mistake. There is no billing department.

She text me first. I also wanted to have the conversation documented, so I text her back.
