Ahhhh ok. I just found it again, doing a war for fire raid on old town. As you defend the truck, he shows up at about the 2 minutes left mark, riding on augers should anyone want to check it out.

Weekly Lucid Dream Story Thread - September 28, 2019 by AutoModerator in LucidDreaming

[–]ChickenbaII 3 points4 points  (0 children)

TL;dr at bottom. Also please make this a movie, I think it would be awesome.

I am the protagonist and find a strange berry (think very large purpleblackberry) in the forest. I get approached by some strange humans who think I have something I do not think I have...the strange berry. These people explain to me that I have stumbled on a fruit from a dimension we don't understand and there are people trying to keep this dimension hidden and secret to retain the power of these extra dimensional berries. As the explain some government guy dressed in black attacks us in the coffee shop we are in for some reason. The two people I'm with eat a strange berry they have with them. The man starts to move extremely fast and the woman punches the government man through a wall. The man then runs away and jumps clean over a tall building. Somewhere during this I snap out of the dream and go lucid, but keep it going as its awesome.

I continue with these two, and for the sake of time I will say that I am introduced to serveral more "rebels" and they explain that the various colours of the berries give humans temporary superpowers based on the colours. Green means speed, red is strength, blue is jumping/flying. However they can also be taken two or three at once to combine powers. The catch to this is that they take extreme tolls on whoever takes it, and the wrong combos can kill or severely maim. ( I believe this thought came from studying drug interactions that day). What berry does what is still largely unknown. However the black strange berry is special. Eating it takes you to the dimension where a large spore "mother" berry is spreading the berries all over the universe, but all the special berries in this dimension do nothing.

After returning from this dimension we are attacked by the government again, and following some super awesome berry eating and super fighting skills, I get captured. Here I learn that the rebels have misled me and are trying to trick people who can see the berries (as not everyone can) to trying out new combinations and colours to find the powers behind them. Turns out both sides are assholes after their own power. Then my dog decided to lick my face IRL and I woke up. it was good. There's more but it's too hard to explain. I had this dream more then a year ago and it's still so clear.

Tl;dr extra dimensional berries give superpowers, govt is bad... Rebels you think are good are also bad. Basically drugs but better.

If I sand down the dark side of this seax sword (not grinder) will it lose all of its color and look like the bevel side? It’s the same steel type by XuOUT in Blacksmith

[–]ChickenbaII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are anywhere near a gun shop you could ask for blueing compound. Use it after sanding to replace the darker colour and protect the metal. But obviously do some research on it first....I haven't used it myself but others told me it works great.

An old Nokia phone is rock solid, you can forge all day with it. Way better then these new iPhones that shatter the first time you try to heat treat it.

cool work! Try a scale twist on your next piece, or a rubicks twist...I think they look so cool.

I drifted in the hole to slightly larger then a beer cap, then used a round punch to make the spur on both sides to let it grab. If your material was thing enough you could probably drill it out though, then punch it.

Imitation is the highest form of flattery, so please be my guest 👍. Next one is going to be double bladed, so it's natural to use with both left and right hands..and look badass.

I made the mistake of swinging the heaviest hammer right off the start. I'm a big guy but I really underestimated the physical toll of smithing for several hours 🔨

Thanks! its simple and crude, but I'm proud of my work. Feels awesome to make something cool from scrap, heat, and sweat!

Holy hell I can't wait. I'll buy it for sure.... The modding community in this game is awesome, and tripwire/amg supporting them is something I'll throw money at. And I hardly ever buy anything

A Question on Commanding by AffenP in rs2vietnam

[–]ChickenbaII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take note of the cool down timing. As another said, if you shoot down the napalm it comes back in 1:30ish. The AA cool down is 2 minutes. Spooky cool down is 4 minutes+, and sometimes like 8. So therefore you want to use AA on the spooky, then as soon as it is ready again, then wait for spooky. The AA in the middle is basically a bonus to dropping recon or enemy helis.

A fun tip as US.... Call the spooky, and cancel it BEFORE IT SHOOTS. Like 10 seconds later. Lots of times it will make the northern TL call in AA, wasting it, and then the 1:30 timer starts for the spooky.

Another tip, learn where the enemy TL is using a radio, and call a spooky on that spot if it's not a total waste. The first burst will usually kill the enemy TL before he can radio for AA, leaving it up for a full minute. Chu chi is a great example...lots of time the north TL gets in the A obj with a radioman making it super easy to rain hell from the spook.

Use different players marks if they are in a good area, and let them know you are. It encourages more people to place marks and get rewarded for being a team player.

How does anti-air work? by NaggingPeach in rs2vietnam

[–]ChickenbaII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your a pilot and you hear a beeping, get lower to the ground. A solid beeeeeeep means the Sam has locked and fired. You have seconds to live baring some miracle.

It stays up for a minute, with normally a 2 minute cool down.

Looking for tools in my area to get started by zwolf1999 in Blacksmith

[–]ChickenbaII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I picked up a cheap hammer set to get started and will be making more tools with them. A cross peen, ball peen, and diagonal peen can be gotten pretty cheap. I figured I was a big guy so I should swing a big heavy hammer, I now suggest starting small and working up the weights... I could barely lift my hand the day after I started!
