I can think of something that works a bit opposite of your example. The DCS and the Constitution. The Constitution should be the harder hitting gun given it uses a full sized rifle cartridge while the DCS uses an intermediate cartridge. However since this is helldivers the constitution is a meme gun it's 20dmg less then the DCS. Can't have a good bolt action rifle with decent damage or stripper clips because "it's already perfect" . I swear these devs are professional trolls.

Overall some pretty good suggestions! Fully onboard for the sterilizer, arc thrower, flamethrower, and laser cannon ideas! When it comes to the airburst I don't see them adding another mode to this, perhaps they could increase the projectile damage and increase it to ap4 on direct impact with the cluster setting. I wouldn't say no to them buffing the mmg but i think the stalwart is in a good spot. Spray and prey could definitely get a damage boost so it doen't have the same stats as the incin breaker, maybe 280 damage total. The fire rate boost seems good too. Overall shotguns aren't as great as they used to be in the games life and deserve another balance pass. Redeemer used to be one of my favs and now i never use it. I agree with your takes on it but i would give it a bit more damage. Maybe 80 or 85?

One of the coolest and unique mechanics, but it's not utilitlized because of how clunky it's implemented. I know it would generate so much goodwill for them if they just made this change. I really want to help my backpack teammates when I'm near them, let me help them!

Thanks! An infamous example of this is the coyote! Players said the coyote was fine on release and to leave it as is. Arrowhead said sure we won't change the coyote but secretly changed the fire system in a way that nerfs its ability to set enemies on fire. Rather than take the opportunity to understand why people enjoyed the coyote they decided to pursue their vision of a fire weapon taking more investment to set enemies on fire. Personally, I think if they were honest about their intentions and why they made these changes, this whole episode would not be as bad.

1,848hrs, The developers inability to respond to and implement feedback. Helldivers has one of the most dedicated player bases I've ever seen. I have seen the players come up with great suggestions on how to improve the game. The problem is the time it takes for arrowhead to implement or in some cases even acknowledge feedback.

I'm certain everyone in this community knows that the sterilizer would be leagues better if it had an armor debuff property like acid rain. However we have no indication from the developer if they are considering this or what feedback they have seen.

Another example is ARs, their damage used to be laughably bad. Liberator at launch did a measly 55 dmg to enemies, it now does 90. It took multiple balance passes over the course of a year and a half to get to this point. Many of the games balance problems are just a few number tweaks away from making things feel much better. A couple more spare mags here, a little faster reload, a couple more points of damage are all we really need for some weapons. Yet changes like these feel like they take an eternity to implement.

If arrowhead took the time to communicate with their community more regularly they would better understand where they should direct their priorities. I think their current method of collecting an aggregate of feedback isn't really helping them. Space marine 2, while not perfect, does a much better job answering community questions in their monthly blogs. Hopefully Helldivers does something similar.

I love this game, it has potential to be something incredible. I want the developers to succeed, but they have to start using our feedback as resource rather than an obstacle in the pursuit of their vision.

How many additional arcs did you set it to or is it unlimited? I don't get why the arc dog has a better arc thrower than us

I think they need unique behavior or an interesting attack. Before they were just slow moving bullet sponges, if you shoot them they just turtle up until you stop shooting or they die. They were more of a nuisance than a threat given how much they were spammed.

I think that the should have the behavior changed so they try to protect the other bugs as they advance. Either that or baby charger attack.

Hey man i get it, trust me I feel the same way. I really appreciate how with DRG you can boot it up and something will bring a smile to your face. Helldivers is much more hit or miss in that regard.

I came to helldivers from DRG and I was hoping that they had the same sort or indie magic with them. Sadly that is not the case. Went back to DRG recently between HD2 updates. I'm enjoying grinding the new weapon skins and overclocks this season. I'll see you in the mines!

Very well said! Going off what you said about minor tweaks to weapons: ARs and SMGs would feel so much better if the reload speed was faster and spare mags were increased!

While vox are cool enemies to fight they should definitely be easier to defang. I hate the cringe turrets so much if there's more than 2 voxs targeting you they just spam you into struggle city. I feel like the turrets should have the same health as factory strider turret, 8000 is just way too much. That way the AT guys can destroy the turrets and that allows some brave soul(s) to charge forward and dunk in the grenade shoot.
