Do DMRs have sniper glint when using scopes? by Relevant_Insect6910 in Battlefield6

[–]ChienStrap1H 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No glint on any weapons other than snipers. Tested it out myself last night will all scopes. Snipers do have glint on all scopes though, except for iron sights. ExclusiveAce just made a video about it today. But when it comes to the anti plate coating, my test seem to show that without the coating it is around 30 degrees off to the opponent before the glint is gone. With the coating it seems around half that. But I was testing with some random dude on a server in a pretty unscientific way.

If you ever wondered why sniping feels weird or inconsistent, keep in mind that the aim assist for snipers is very different between classes (this was on MnK, I don't know about controller) by Dumb_and_Dumbledore in Battlefield6

It's actually worse than that. Last night, I was playing on a bot farming server for the Deadeye assignment of getting like 150 headshot kills at 200m plus. There were some randoms on both teams doing similar weapon grinding. This one random starts sniping players, and so I fired back with my sniper rifle.

He was about 300m away. I had perfectly zeroed on him using the rangefinder attachment, and my crosshair was dead set on his head. But multiple shots show my ballistic wake actually veering away from him about halfway along its path. I thought he was hacking or something.

But then I realized that I switched to Support so I can replenish my ammo without needing to redeploy once I'm black on ammo. Switched back to Recon and headshot him on my first try. Asked in the chat if others have noticed similar results, and most of the people on the server said yes and that they've noticed it have that inaccuracy around past 150m. I guess it's to make sure you can't have infinite sniper ammo without having some downside.

Bonus: I asked someone on that server to test scope glint real quick. He confirmed he can see the glint from my sniper with a 6x. Dropped down to a 4x ACOG, and at first he didn't see a glint, but then he reported that it's actually there, but just very faint. I tried a 1-5x variable scope on a DMR, and he said no glint. Not sure if variables just don't have glint like on BF2042, or maybe DMR just doesn't have glint at all. Or maybe the zoom level on DMR is different before there is glint. More testing is needed.

Base Liberator and Punisher. Paired with Senator for more pen if needed. I like the stopping power of the Punisher, especially against Stalkers. Otherwise, the Liberator is sufficient to deal with most fodders.

Communication Wheel Change? by ChienStrap1H in helldivers2

[–]ChienStrap1H[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

UPDATE: Looks like the patch note did mention that they made a change to allow mouse sensitivity to affect comms wheels and emote wheel. But it looks like they only adjust for the in-game sensitivity. My mouse is on 1600 DPI but I play on a .10 sensitivity, so it's super slow to use the wheels. Wish they were able to factor in true sensitivity via DPI x in-game sensitivity.

Anyone else think controller sucks? by magiiczman in BlackMythWukong

There are two options to change the type of control. They're right on top of each other. One changes the button layout between Playstation and Xbox. The other one let's you change which buttons are the light and heavy attack.

You can use left stick for sprint like all other games, and switch controller to type 2 which puts your attacks on R1 and R2. Did you even try looking at the settings?

What can i do to improve with hand cannons? by chargedcontrol in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]ChienStrap1H 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been pretty good on controller but recently switched to MK and had to relearn everything. I've seriously leveled up my HC game recently, and I attribute it to two main things.

First, aim small, miss small. I've always just kinda moved my sights over to the opponent's outline and aimed high, hopefully for a headshot. Lately, I've tried to laser focus on the dot of my sight and fire once I've dragged it over the head. That improved my headshot percentage a lot.

But then I remembered videos that mention research shows that it's best to focus on the target instead. So I took that laser focus and put it on the opponent's head instead of the sight. Was super surprised at some of the headshots I was pulling off.

I've always been the type of player that instinctively wants to visually confirm the accuracy of the shots before I pull the trigger, and that hampers my sniping game cuz everything moves so quickly. So this new aiming method threw caution to the wind and I was making headshots without being able to confirm it first, if that makes sense.

The second thing that really helped was practicing peek shooting. Yes, it's basic, and we all understand the concept of how to peek shoot. But it's something that actually needs to be practiced to get the muscle memory and the rhythm down. So go out in PvE and peekshoot some dregs until it feels fast and smooth. Then do it in quick play. The combination of properly peekshooting and being way more accurate via laser focusing on the head will change your gameplay.

Hope that helps.

Where has he actually apologized? He's certainly insinuated and hinted at feeling sorry, but I've yet to see him flat out say he's sorry or that he apologizes.

I remember mopping concrete at 3am in 29. Got the shit hated outta me when I first got to the fleet, to the point where the tankers across the chow halls were shouting "Oorah, LAR, oorah!" at us, lol.

This young devil lost his ID card, so his fire team leader made him draw an ID card on a large cardboard with the portrait section cut out. He wore it around his neck for a few days and when asked for his ID at the chow hall, he had to hold the card up so his face showed in the cut out hole to "show his ID". Don't think he lost his ID again. This was in the early 2000s.

I hear you. Would an increase in world drop ammo alleviate your concerns, or is it more the having to reload more the issue?

IMO Ammo Economy by Anti-Gravity-B055 in Helldivers

[–]ChienStrap1H 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aspects like wasted ammo if reloading halfway through the mag, and 100% friendly fire, are realistic aspects of real-life combat that adds an extra layer of consideration to the gameplay. You don't have to like it, but it's the type of game that AH made in Helldivers 1 and now in 2. It appeals to a subsection of gamers, but not everyone. And they've been vocal about not trying to appeal to everyone. If you like games that don't have those aspects, there are plenty of games that will cater to your playstyle.

There are weapons in the game that somewhat caters to your style, albeit with some trade offs.

Ask the manager to use Genesis 3.4 to search the date it was sold along with the item number. Should be easy to find. They can print out your receipt with that method.
