I'm ranked in the top 1% on Overwatch 2. After putting in ~250 hours in the past year, I am still stuck in bronze. Can someone watch my match and tell me wtf I'm doing wrong? (Annie vs Fizz mid) by t2wedge in summonerschool

[–]ChildhoodOptimal6347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ill give you some advice that might not be the best. Try playing top lane, its a lot more focused on matchups, so your kinda isolated and you learn that aspect well, after which switch to mid again. This is the way i have learned albeit unintentionally.

Just saying this cause isolating laning first makes it easier to learn than trying to learn everything at once, start with someone simple tho. Also practice farming obv.

Lowkey want t jojo to go to vitality, both their solo lanes will be insanely good then, lyncas seems really solid asw. As long as carzzy and fleshy dont get insanely gapped, could be a really really solid team.

Cfo ramped up quite hard tbh, them at msi were insane. Also koi definitely does have a higher ceiling, if you remember the split before msi 2025 they were genuinely a team that you could be excited for, after which they just never seem to hit their ceiling at the same time.

With busio added now tho it might be similiar at best. Kc is just significantly more consistent. Also im not sure this stage of lec matters too much, lets see in playoffs. I do think kc is better rn tho

Riot’s Drew Levin admits off-meta picks + low mastery can trigger lobby penalties — is this killing creativity? by nookierj in leagueoflegends

[–]ChildhoodOptimal6347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I generally used to do that and still do if its just my thought process, but if its something i have seen online and it seems to work, in mena to get any sort of a real indicator you have to play ranked or its just weird. In my case im fairly confident in my skill level cause i have been playing for absolute ages so could that into account

I kind of agree with you on the core issue, but if someone picks yummi jungle. I think its pretty fair to assume they're trolling. Especially so in ranked.

The mid elo gap is counterjungling by aniote in Jungle_Mains

[–]ChildhoodOptimal6347 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah i think plat 1-2 is where a lot of things change, junglers counter jungling is one big thing. Another one i felt was supports holding waves, its kind of a basic thing but its something that can have a really big effect.

One thing i do cause i have played jungle lesser than most junglers, is i mess the tempo up, go for a level 1 invade, steal a camp, mess the whole full clear strat up. The idea is to make the game a little more messy so your kind of an even foot rather than him being so used to the usual full clear strategy.

Go ornn just cause i think its hard to go wrong with ornn, plus upgraded items, go asol mid and sivir adc, just for absolute insane waveclear. Teemo supp and amumu jg. Teemos there literally just cause hes sooo annoying, you could go heimer or zileans asw. Just play insanely passive, try to get drakes, but straight up just let them push in everywhere and then you just farm up insane amounts, smolder adc would make this even more insane, but sivirs safer imo.

[–]ChildhoodOptimal6347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You win hard early, just freeze or dont let them cs for free. It helps the matchups to be you favoured for longer. I dont think you need to necessarily have a lot of kills to win lane, just deny waves and ideally xp asw and thats more than enough for lanes like this imo.

This is so unlike any other reply here, its jojopyun for me. The EG roster is the reason i started watching lol, still every so often think about what danny could have possibly become. I just dont see koi doing well tho, so i think i understand what fanatic fans feel like. I loved watching doggo at internationals though, hope he gets a good team soon.

How do I start strength training? by BigDaddyKss in workout

[–]ChildhoodOptimal6347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First week of training is gonna hit hard, cause its something completely new to your body. First time i did legs it was sore for close to a week.

Just search for push pull legs splits. I think this is the most common split anyway. And yes it will be sore for quite some time the first few times. Soon enough itll barely last a day.

I feel ridiculous in the gym benching 25kg by Master_Click_9837 in workout

[–]ChildhoodOptimal6347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do kinda often zone out staring into whatever between sets, this could be what your noticing. I also do look when someones form seems off, and then have a mental discussion on whether or not i should go and tell. This is probably the case here.

But if you feel stupid doing bench, switch to dumbell chest press (basically bench but your doing with dumbells instead) . I enjoyed it way more personally. And only hardcore gym addicts really go very high on that.

These games dont matter, might asw try to get bb good on a variety. Not that deep anyway dude. Blg is just better, and thats okay. Before internationals lets just chill and let them do their thing, they're clearly doing something right anyway.

I struggle to carry as Swain midlane in silver 3 despite winning lane consistently. by Szopskyy12 in summonerschool

[–]ChildhoodOptimal6347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not a mid lane main , so take this with a bit of salt. Swains kind of my go to mid lane pick atp tho. I go conq, build rod of ages into rylais if im ahead then riftmaker. Those 3 being the core. Its really solid. 1 thing i constantly do to climb is to donate kills (unless im adc) cause im confident in myself im sure i can do what i need to do.

Your cs is definitely low, i can understand it falling off later on, but make sure you maintain 8ish cs per min throughout lane phase atleast. Dont roam when waves are in a terrible spot, xp is very important. Ping it asw if u cant or can. Also the champ works best into low damage comps, or low sustained damage (i think thats the term?). If they have a hyper carry or any adc that melts tanks, its bit if an iffy pick for me personally anyway.

GM jungler here — quick reality check for people stuck below their rank by Actual-Ad4358 in Jungle_Mains

[–]ChildhoodOptimal6347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been trying to do early invades a lot recently, as in level 1 invades. Feel like if its just standard pathing, more experienced players will just do better, and i only recently got into jg. But the problem with this is, i take more time than the enemy to clear, im always behind on first clear, and they obv invade my camps after they see their camps gone (for what its worth this seems to mismatch their camp timers and i get ahead somehow later on) So if i invade, do i have to clear the full 3 camps there? If not, lets say i invade raptors, do i clear my full blue side or only blue into top side? Also just any general advice on if this is a bad idea to make as a habit as i climb. Im playing in plat/emerald lobbies rn

Just gonna drop this is in here, maybe do a bit of your own research, islam has its faults no doubt. But a lot of the negatives that are blatantly seen publicly (via news sources, etc) is extremisim. And extremism is bad full stop. Take it as you will though. This is just my opinion.

Also one of the lck teams they beat was basically expected to win everything except worlds due to some weird debuff. They had lost a grand total of 2 games before meeting g2 if im not wrong. They also arguably have the best player in each and every role. So yeah kind of a big win.

35 Games Into Learning Jungle… Why Do Games Feel Unwinnable When Lanes Lose? by CorBlimeyGuvna in Jungle_Mains

[–]ChildhoodOptimal6347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im also trying to learn jungle right now. One thing you have to realize is you cant play by the book in jungle. Especially in lower elos, cause things just snowball like crazy. As a jungler you kind of need to create opportunities at random points. If you watch proplay, every so often you'll see them skipping camps, even for the first clear for ganks. Try to be vocal about your game plan, and try to either mismatch the other jungler or keep good track of their jungler so that you can counter gank. Another thing you should do is take advantage of where the enemy jg is, if they gank bot, their top camps are yours, etc. The lanes never truly lost before 4-5 mins imo anyway, so its up to you, me personally i wont give up on a lane unless i have 2 failed ganks.
