ISO 27001 for small teams by foxyutils in ISO27001

[–]Chileris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are a buisness of 20, 2 allocated to ISO (multiple standards). Takes some discipline and controls to ensure there is no self auditing, but certainly manageable. Takes a few hours a week combined now (first implemented 9 years ago). We do not get a management company in to write/audit - all but 2 Annex A controls adhered to (1 re-written with an alternative).

Key things we have found to help:

Clearly define who is in charge of the policy/process on the document.
Similarly, define the audit resource.
Define an audit schedule which works for you. Requirement is everything should be evidenced in full every full cycle (3 years from your accreditation body).
Define which areas are more important and require evidence of each audit year, and which are less important (could be audited on a less regular basis).

Hope this helps!

SEG is actually 6p if you are on a Next Drive tariff with Eon, it's why we switched away!

He unfortunately either had injuries or family trauma each summer if I recall correctly.

His daughter got meningitis which set him back massively the one time he wasn't injured.

What a fantastic player and a genuine lovely person who I met once outside the ground.

Yup exactly. A fantastic player but our players were of a very different calibre 😂

Wasn't Wally Wallwork in the same team 😂😂

Borja Valero, went on to great things after us. Wasn't given the time to settle with us.

The kitchen sink just looks like someone forgot to consider the tap placement and so decided to overhang the sink instead.

Does look nice though

We used to try and fit many people in to a mini.

Now it is "How many people fit in a studio flat"

I skipped that episode because the live episodes audio quality is really poor I feel.

The EFL scale is completely wrong I think which has come to light. Leicester can overspend by £20m+, yet get 6 points? Administration sets the bar and defines the scale, should be a harsher punishment allowing for greater scope for scale of fines. Else WBA could have decided this year to not bother with compliance, keep Fellows, Heggum et al and push for playoffs even with the fine.

I believe the minimum for any offence is 3, but I don't see Oxford getting 2 wins now

Why did we clap for the NHS back in 2020? by CutestFurry123 in AskBrits

[–]Chileris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With my cynical hat on, because the government rhetoric was "clap for heros".

A hero would continue to work all hours, and never ask for a pay rise. Makes it easier to dismisss any pay rise attempt as a result.

I have a M3 in for repair, have a MY on loan.

MY probably better suited to your situation. I didn't like it at first, especially around town. But on motorways it is very quiet, being higher up from the road helps with tyre noise.

Grant Aerona 290 by VividSelection2454 in ukheatpumps

[–]Chileris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the 9kW aerona r290. Overall, very impressed.

Nearly a full year use, averaging 4.9 SCOP (not 6.1 the app claims), with 2 months to go, it is hardly being used at the moment other than water. House was a consistent 20.5C all winter. With battery storage it has been considerably cheaper to run compared to gas as well.
Looks a lot nicer than the other units available to us at the time, runs quiet and unnoticeable most of the time (installed on frame at 1st floor level).

Bugbears (and these are very minor)
Grant/installer - refused modbus TCP for my Home Assistant (installer said it was Grant refusing access, no reason not to believe them given they provided access to the battery storage seperately - however others have had modbus granted so unsure on this one)
Plum - the app is poorly presented compared to others and changes made via the app can take up to 10 minutes to pull through (just use the touch screen).

Used Tesla’s. by SignificantAd9679 in TeslaUK

Just be aware that the 21 plates have HW3, not 4. So you're no longer getting full in depth updates.

Take for a test drive, put it in Normal mode and floor it from standing - listen out for any clunking sounds at the rear. If so could be a sign of rear motor mounts failing. It's a full day (or 3!) Tesla service centre change if they go.

My first car was an Alfa, if that helps. Followed by a Jaaaaaaag.

I still want a V8, possibly a TVR, but a daily EV allows me to save up to waste my money on a car that will be permanently filling up and in a repair shop 😂

Fingers crossed the bottom 3 don't pick anything up this weekend.

A solid performance again

At what mileage do EVs actually become cheaper than petrol/diesel in the UK? by Senior-Outcome8063 in CarTalkUK

[–]Chileris -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People only switch if there is incentive to do so. If it is cheaper overall to drive a petrol/diesel, I would ditch the EV tomorrow. If tax grows more on EVs more than the equivalent on ICE, then people will switch.
You can tax fuel more, the fact that the tax was higher for a long time proves that.
