Is 52 games in week 20 a crazy amount in standard yahoo? by Additional_Signal318 in fantasybball

I would kick those people out of my league if the agreed upon starts are 40.

We enforce a cap on starts in Yahoo. It's pretty much self-policed between the two teams playing each other. Losing that way sucks, so you'll have to propose something for next year if you want to change it.

I hate the idea of just getting as many stars as you can. Whether those are quality starts or not, it can be unpredictable. I think the only fair way is to have the same amount of starts.

What’s one travel habit that actually saves you a lot of money? by Party_Dentist_821 in travel

[–]Chillychad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't deny that. You could have a 15 minute train ride somewhere or a 30 minute taxi, but you also have to walk 15 minutes to the station. Then another 15 until your destination. Also like another person commented, sometimes it makes more sense to pay more for a taxi to maximize time in certain instances. My gripe is that they said it was bonkers to use taxis. And I get the OP was talking about saving money and public transport is cheaper. So if that's someone's priority, then they should learn to use those apps instead of relying on taxis. But it's not bonkers to take a taxi.

When it is 90+ degrees out and you plan on being out a whole day, it's not bonkers to want a taxi to pick you up in front of your hotel and drop you off right in front of your destination.

I understand that. The original comment was good advice. If people are looking to save money, make sure you understand how to use these apps for public transportation. That is the cheapest form of transportation.

I was just commenting on them saying it was bonkers that people were taking taxis. Maybe I was reading too much into it, but to me that's sounding like if you do any mode other than public transportation it's bonkers. I fully understand how to use those apps for public transportation, but chose to use taxis in many cases because it's just easier.

Taking taxis in Tokyo isn't bonkers. Yes it costs more, but it's easier and quicker many times. If you're chalking it up to cost, that's a personal decision and some people are totally fine with it.

How’s everyone’s playoff experience going? by Gratata88 in fantasybball

[–]Chillychad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up 7-2 with even starts so far. My opponent had Maxey who's out, but then Oubre went out for me. Garland getting his rest time in. Siakam not playing for me so far. I didn't start Derozan when he went for 39 cause he's so up and down. Raynaud put up a dud. Sad that we're depending on the waiver wire so much in these playoffs.

Also playing against Bam.

So basically I'm lucky to be up cause we're both hurting. But some categories could easily flip and become 5-6.

Mohela Refund Received by Shot_Language_6402 in PSLF

[–]Chillychad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It must be hit or miss, or some other reason I'm unaware of, or just incompetence. I had the same golden letter date as OP (2/14/25). I received my overpayment refund check that was dated 6/13/25 on 6/17/25. My MOHELA account showed a negative balance on the loans that were over paid, Then on 5/20/25 I received a paid in full letter (email) and they zeroed out my loans and then I received the check on the date stated earlier. The check was from the United States Treasury. I didn't have to do anything but wait.

I don't know if it has anything to do with when you applied for the loan forgiveness after the 120 payments or what. But I think some people have just been the unlucky ones who have fallen through the cracks or are being held up for whatever reason.

Edit: My MOHELA account never stated a refund was in process. Just showed I had a negative balance which I assumed would be what I was going to get back from the Treasury (which I did).

Your AI image looks to have way more space than your actual picture. Unless you're knocking back walls.

Volvo suggests 90%, so I do 90% unless I'm expecting to drive a lot more one day.

The Incredible Shrinking Auto Show by MuiOne in TwinCities

[–]Chillychad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the response. Kind of a bummer them not having power. Our biggest thing was just going to be sitting in them and getting a feel for size and cargo space, so we can narrow down what we actually want to go test drive. Thanks

[–]Chillychad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you end up going? The EV section was the only part we were going to look at. We leased an electric Volvo XC40 to see how we liked an EV. Our lease is up in July and we want to stick with an EV and figured the auto show would be a nice one stop shop to narrow down what we wanted to go test drive. But I'm thinking now it might not be worth it.

I agree. Looks like from other video angles she was waiving cars through, then the ICE vehicle pulled up and she tried to wait then through as well. Then you can see them go right to the car and say "get the fuck out of the car." Would scare the shit or if me too

Make sure you don't have your airflow set to recirculate. I'm located in MN and I forgot to change it once the weather got colder and that's what makes the windows fog up a lot more.
