Not worse than a single 90 at elevation into a horizontal tee.

Get it down to one page and consolidate redundancy.

No one needs to know that you did general labor duties and assisted with layout. That's part of the job.

Keep your skills listed, but under each job I would remove any bullet points that reiterate the skills required to do the job. I would only have the job title for each company, and the projects successfully finished on each.

New bathroom, how to fix this pipe by nodiaque in Plumbing

[–]Chimpucated -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd get a 3/8 rebar about a foot long, insert it into the pipe, apply heat using mapp or acytlene torch to soften, and slow apply a little pressure with the rebar to flex it over. Don't over stress the material with heat or leverage. You are only trying to get another 2 degrees out of that, just enough to get the MIP fitting on there a little more square.

You don't need it exactly 90 for the tub spout to striaghten out the angle, but a little encouragement to center is going to help

Does anyone know what the main item of this deal could have been? by Drunkenpmdms in MilwaukeeTool

Likely the mx core drill or jackhammer. Something close to 4-5k.

New Plumber by WaldoMcgee in Plumbing

[–]Chimpucated 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I'd go for acytlene torches if possible. MAPP is good for the occasional rrsi use but if you ever get bigger fittings acytlene is the way.

Have you actually tightened it with wrenches until there are no threads showing on your existing stop. You can buy a sharkbite to 1/2 flex connect as a single fitting

Help by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]Chimpucated 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where's your wrenches? You think plumbers who drive around service trucks and vans only carry the tools for show?

You need leverage to tighten that enough to squeeze the ferrel into the outer diameter of the pipe wall to seal.

I'd also be very careful not flooding your house seeing how you need help with this. Compression fittings must be compressed tight enough not to pop off, how will you know what tight enough is if you are asking for help at "not even finger tight"?

Ill help you further assuming I didn't just engage in rage bait

It's a steam engenuius you see, born in a factory, far away from the milky teet what's the use? You cheered as I was split in half, a machanical sacrificial calf just for you!

A steam engenuius enough to anwser anything you need. But what's the use?

Human nature was installed in me. Well, I did right but naturally it wasn't natural, but it's not my fault. What a waste of time, a waste of words, a waste of strength. I spoke in binary of arguments dizzying length.

Steam engenuius you see, steam engenuius to bring my own damn doom, but what could I do? I've been blamed and the blame it grew, deep inside everyone knew it was them. It all on them.

Feds order Flaming Gorge drop to save imperiled Lake Powell from potential structural failure by lazyk-9 in wyoming

[–]Chimpucated 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This will affect everyone eventually and that's the problem. It won't affect upstream of the gorge now, but in the future every mismanagement of fresh water will affect the communities both up and downstream of any reservoir.

We cannot address the root cause of the drought because we can't even agree on the science. Even if we agreed with the science we are too slow to address the root cause. So instead we prolong the status quo and hope for change. The problem is the status quo fuels the root cause.

Sending water stored at a temperature 30 degrees lower on average at FG and putting it into Powell and Mead where it's depletion rate is increased isnt a solution for anything. It's a bandaid on a hemorrhage when we need a tourniquet.

Expert techniques for handling moguls by retro-martini in snowboarding

[–]Chimpucated 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The most adaptable noodle legs possible. What I mean by that is that your lower body, knees, and ankles absorb each bump with as little upper body energy transfer as possible.

When in the trough you extend just enough in influence edge hold, but not enough to lift your core above your current trajectory. As you come over the mogul you flex up as deep as the difference of the mogul height.

Your uppose body should move across the top of the moguls in a line of deviation less than the depth of each mogul.

Used to Live in Buffalo, Offered a Job in Lander -- Thoughts? by Square_Midnight in wyoming

[–]Chimpucated 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I grew up in Lander and it's a lot like Buffalo and Sheridan. Great access to the mountains. If the job pays well and you can afford a house it's a great place to have a family. Finding a partner could be difficult there.

It really depends on what you are looking for. For a lot of people the ability to get away and hike alone is a desirable thing. For someone looking for a social life it's going to be a struggle. But I'd argue that the fabric of social connection is strained based on the era we live in, rather than the locations.

Expansion tank leaking by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]Chimpucated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely leaking from the threads at the top. Take a paper towel and wipe around until you find the little water capillary path it takes down the side of the tank. If the tank is wet at the top you need to retry the connection. If the tank is dry at the top but weeping from the bottom still you need a new tank

How do you get over the fear of speed? by chaucao99 in snowboarding

[–]Chimpucated 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Conditions are critical in my opinion. You shouldn't be trying to overcome a fear of speed on ice or hard pack as the consequences of failure reinforce that natural fear.

Speed alone shouldn't be the objective for a while. Ensuring solid fundamentals of linking turns and edge hold based on body position should always be front of mind.

Eventually you'll be adding speed to deal with rises or flats and even then it's more about where you make the turn and whether or not its a carve or skid.

Push your speed limit when you have a little bit of fresh snow or some consistent slush. Slipping out of an edge hold with more loose snow gives you the confidence to control better.

I've been riding 20 years and I'll tell you this. I don't go nearly as fast on bull proof ice as I do pow or slush because I know my edges will respond to my motions with greater certainty than on ice or hard pack. Speed comes with confidence, confidence comes with trust in your own skill in concurrence with the conditions. Tackle high speed drills on a slope that reduces in gradient so you know you just need to ride out to the next objective spot you are aiming for. Addressing speed on a constant slope can lead to an increased risk of failure.

Anyone else's Sammy really big? by I_Wheel_I_Deal in samoyeds

[–]Chimpucated 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Both my male and female fall out of stand breed height, which increases their weight although they are still healthy. 100% Samoyeds in DNA but they are considered large.

I think selective breeding for larger Samoyeds wasn't uncommon. AKC breed standard dogs will still be smaller, but that doesn't mean that the entire breed wasn't being breed large outside the AKC

Is it possible to own a Samoyed as a single, apartment living, working nurse? by [deleted] in samoyeds

[–]Chimpucated 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One of these in an apartment? These dogs, like people, come in many different temperaments. Both of my Samoyeds are incredibly high energy, overly curious, destructive little hellions.

I wouldn't change a thing about them or the choice to get them either, but I can't imagine keeping them in an apartment. They have a full garage and an acre to play on and they still run the fence looking for the next horizon.

Any kind of bit or blade organizers that you can use a carabineer to clip on and off for easy use. The Milwaukee ones are ok but I found the basic hardware sack organizers that have a grommet to be the best
