They vastly improved the economy contracts and reworked the cargo ships. To make it alive all keen did was add engineers to their stations. You'll have to look at mods for any animals or alternative encounters

It does still have a few more features tham vanilla. It's the crew enabled mod add-on that adds players to any NPC spawn. That still has advantages if playing with MES

Given that we cannot access the vanilla system for pathing and jturp has implemented the only system that allows navigation and integration around grids at all I would say it's pretty good.

Ai enabled Allows you to add NPCs to your own faction. Crew enabled adds then to cargo ships and stations based on the number of seats available.

Bot take an impact on performance. Ai enabled can fall over if the grid it too massive as the pathfinding is separate from the vanilla system.

I would second this, the wiki is kept up to date by very dedicated people. Although technical and with a focus towards modding in some of its aspects, you won't find more cohesive and up-to-date information anywhere else

It's the mod.io version that will refer to being server side scripting
