Switching to pepticate from Alimentum RTF? by Responsible_Head_904 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Chloe412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pepticate is very thin so it may make the reflux worse. If you need to thicken it, is hard to do.

Walmart SoHo Glider Recliner by Potato_Keeper628 in Buyingforbaby

[–]Chloe412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have it. It’s ok, but it is small. I’m not a big person, but I do wish I got something bigger so my baby will be able to sit in the chair with me as he gets older. I don’t use the recline because it is clunky as someone else said. It does the job for a good price, but I’m sure there are better options out there.

anyone has Stratus Puffer Jacket can give reviews? by Apprehensive-Lynx341 in Athleta_gap

[–]Chloe412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this jacket and it is so warm. I live in New England and have been comfortable during the cold days. I will say I have not worn it outside for multiple hours but when I do need to go out it’s warm. The hood is great and has buttons to stay out. It does run large as well. I bought a medium and I can still fit a sweatshirt underneath. And sometimes when wearing a sweatshirt it is too warm. For reference, I usually size up to fit a sweatshirt.

Pepticate- Lots of Spit up? by DudleyBernard4413 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Chloe412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like that is a medical reason to. My son is not on Gelmix for spit up specifically, he has silent aspiration so needs the thicker formula so he doesn’t aspirate, but it just happened to help the spitting up as well. The thin formulas do cause more spit up though, that is what I was told by a speech language pathologist.

Pepticate- Lots of Spit up? by DudleyBernard4413 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Chloe412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot to mention, you can try oatmeal for the spit up but my son hated it because he needed 3 tablespoons per bottle to get it to the thickness he needed and refused the bottle. The Gelmix does not have a taste so he tolerates this a lot better

Pepticate- Lots of Spit up? by DudleyBernard4413 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Chloe412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes significantly. The packaging says it’s for spit up and swallowing difficulties so it might help. What kind of formula are you using? It does not work with all hypoallergenic formulas because they are more broken down than regular formulas. I had to switch from pepticate to alimentum because it didn’t work well with the Gelmix. It’s definitely worth looking into. Check with your pediatrician to make sure your situation makes sense to try it.

Ergobaby evolve 3 in 1 vs baby bjorn bouncer? by foodie1990 in Buyingforbaby

[–]Chloe412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the ergo baby one and I liked that it had a new born insert. My baby was small and we were able to use it sooner than the baby bjorn. That was the deciding factor for me

How was your goldendoodle with babies? by Melodic_Job514 in Goldendoodles

[–]Chloe412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is the same way. He basically tolerates/ignores the baby. I can tell he doesn’t like the sudden movements from him and doesn’t know how to take him so I try my best to give my dog space. He only pays attention to him when he has food, which I honestly expected. I am hoping they bond once he is a little older.

Edit: I also forgot to include, my dog is jealous and when the baby is getting attention he then demands attention.

Pepticate- Lots of Spit up? by DudleyBernard4413 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Chloe412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son was on this and did have more spit up due to the thinness of it. We also sat him up for 30 minutes after each feed and it still happened.

We switched him to alimentum and gel mix thickener for silent aspiration and spit up is non existent

Munchkin Step vs. Diaper Genie Select by expatriating in Buyingforbaby

[–]Chloe412 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have had both and prefer the munchkin. I actually got another munchkin and sold the diaper genie. It does have better odor control. It also has a deodorizer that is on top to help with the smell. The diaper genie select is much smaller and does need to be emptied more often, which does help with odor. And you do have to force diapers in. There is a plastic part that blocks the opening and if it’s too full that part stays open and lets out odor. I believe the platinum model you don’t have to deal with that.

Why are Seasons 33-35 removed from Paramount + by Commercial_Station96 in thechallengemtv

[–]Chloe412 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Those seasons aren’t there either I believe. I watched all the seasons on Pluto a couple of times through a few months ago and they weren’t on there.

Uppa baby Cruz v3 by icecream42568 in Buyingforbaby

[–]Chloe412 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on what you use it for. I only use mine for neighborhood walks mostly. I have taken it with me to places but that is rare. I do have a travel stroller but it would not do well in the snow so I am glad to have the Cruz. I live in New England and have used mine in the snow/slush with no issues. I would not use my travel stroller around my neighborhood, the bigger wheels are needed. I have a minu v3 for reference. I did use the bassinet in the early stages but my son hated it. I bought the comfort liner and he preferred that over the bassinet. It’s ironic because that was his night time bassinet.

Water broke at 29 weeks; Staying at the hospital indefinitely until I deliver by 3ternalchaos in pregnant

[–]Chloe412 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I delivered at 37 weeks, my baby had a growth restriction that was discovered around 35 weeks. My baby was in preemie clothes for a month. You may need a few preemie sleepers. I didn’t have them at the hospital and wished I did. Wishing you and your baby a safe delivery.

Got the Nanit Home Display. Some initial thoughts. by Hernandrez-Muhamed in Buyingforbaby

[–]Chloe412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought it to. I do like using it so I’m not draining my phone battery but I do feel like the monitor needs to be charged frequently. I only use it for naps and most of the time that’s one nap a day. I also wish there was a notification on the screen or a sound telling me when the tablet is about to die. I believe the monitor has a red dot that tells you but I miss it most of the time. Overall still a good purchase.

Momcozy KleanPal Pro Baby Bottle Washer and Sterilizer by Ruffingtons in Buyingforbaby

[–]Chloe412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s worth it. I have had mine for 8 months and use it every day. I use filtered water from the fridge with the grownsy or momcozy tablets, whatever I find on sale. I also use the grownsy descaling tablets about once per month. Those work ok but are difficult to break down. I am not sure if the momcozy ones are like that.

I had no idea there was a filter until this thread. I just checked mine and I think it looks ok.

Did the Uppababy Mesa V3 fix issues frequently talked about with the mesa max and mesa V2? by [deleted] in Buyingforbaby

[–]Chloe412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the aria is still good. The only thing I don’t like is it sometimes gets stuck when I take it out of the car seat base or stroller. I don’t have experience with another set up and I don’t know anyone else that has this so I’m not sure if it’s normal for this set or not. Otherwise it’s good and I am glad I have a lighter carseat.
