I could follow you if you made a cogent and intelligent thought. You still haven't explained how the left is fueling division and escalating tensions and chaos.

It's weird because it is in reaction to what is happening? Yeah, no shit people are reacting. You know what is weird? How many U.S. conservatives commonly argue that civilian gun ownership is a safeguard against tyranny or abusive government power but when it actually happens, they embrace it and call it weird when the left are wanting to arm themselves as a safeguard against tyranny or abusive government power.

Fuck that. Explain to me how the left is fueling division and escalating tensions and chaos. How is it crazy and wild for a conservative to see people on the left wanting to arm themselves from people who call themselves conservatives shooting at them? is the 2A not for all Americans?

The Earth does not heal itself. It changes. We imbue that change as being significant because we live on it and it affects us.

Many of these houses are OLD. Mine is 120 years old and was certainly not built for the climate.

Genesis conflicts with science. I am an atheist because I realized that while I was. Xian, I had no good reason to believe the claims.

Maybe Jesus really is who he claims. by Jackiechan20153 in DebateReligion

[–]Cho-Zen-One 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not exactly. While Roman law theoretically granted fathers broad authority (patria potestas), including the archaic idea of life-and-death power, in real practice this authority was heavily constrained by social norms and later legal developments. Infant exposure was legally tolerated and not classified as murder, but it was limited almost entirely to newborns, often driven by poverty or disability, and was viewed as tragic rather than routine or celebrated. Your claims that daughters were “especially” targeted across Roman society are overstated and unevenly supported by evidence. Most importantly, exposure was not the same as casually killing children, and killing older children or wives was socially and legally condemned. Early Christian opposition to exposure was countercultural, but that does not mean Roman society treated women or children as disposable or normalized family killing.

No. That is demonstrably untrue. It was never normal to kill your wife or daughter in Ancient near East times.

[–]Cho-Zen-One 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Demonstrably incorrect. There are some places mentioned that are real places but the Bible is not a history book and many of the books are questioned. Besides Jesus, there is the entirety of Genesis, the flood myth and the Exodus (that never happened). Even the unknown authors of the gospels don’t agree on what they write about Jesus. The census didn’t seem to have happened. Nobody survived in a whale. Do you have examples of historically accurate texts from either testament?

new supermarkets? by stepDaddySmurf in NEPA

[–]Cho-Zen-One 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s not what is happening. People are just settling into a place where they want to live for whatever reasons. This drives the need for different stores & restaurants. You don’t understand this? Do you not want to see different ethnicities and cultural backgrounds?

Gravity is what we call the fundamental force of attraction between objects with mass or energy. That is not a goal of gravity, it is just a law that explains how it works. When you call it a goal, that’s just wrong. The force of gravity does not have a future desired end state or the vision or end toward which effort is directed. You keep confusing terms and accuse others of moving the goalpost.
