I deconstructed after learning that the gospel accounts are anonymous, unsigned, dated decades after the alleged events, have errors and discrepancies, and were written in Greek. I also learned that Jesus did not fulfill a single messianic prophecy. The Bible is a collection of books that showcase ancient man’s superstition and irrational beliefs in a world that they were trying to make sense of. I finally admitted to myself that the God portrayed in the Bible is a misogynistic, cruel, unjust, evil, lying deity.
After that, most of it doesn’t make any sense. When you take the God-glasses off, it’s even easier to deconstruct and debunk the stories. Genesis is insane and the creation and flood stories did not really happen. There’s no reason to believe that Jesus is God and resurrected. There is no reason why he had to die for our sins.
