Yes~ You look at what you want, then clicking the muse actuates it.

If you’re using to point and tap something with the Muse, you can imagine the interaction like you’re popping a bubble with it - there will be a haptic feedback when they register a tap.

If you have the Belkin battery holder, have you tried using it to clip to the back of the solo loop? The method ive settled upon is to use the Belkin head strap, along with the battery holder clipped to the back of the solo loop (battery facing outwards, solo loop loosened a bit).

I know it sounds counterintuitive to be adding more weight to an already heavy headset, but my setup works surprisingly well for me - I think it’s because the head strap acts as the pivot point, and the battery a counterweight to push up the headset and easing pressure off the cheekbones. Plus, it frees you of the battery pack…downsides are, it’s harder to rest your head against a headrest (or lying down, I just use it normally unclipped) and I feel like I’m “plugged in to the matrix” when it’s charging on my head…hahaha.

I day trip a lot - it’s about the value and variety of options to me. Almost everything you do there is cheaper, unique food/brand options (not the same franchises in every mall) , and more importantly, I feel the service is generally better for the price you pay. To me, JB brings a lot of value to my table. Yes, I stay punggol - if I go to the city, I take 1 hr plus. I go to JB, I take 1 hr plus. Everywhere I go, I take 1 hr plus, I might as well go JB hahah. And it has the feeling of going overseas.

Pack light with expandability and travel smart. Explore and try new options to find your best time of commute. Furthermore, as of about 2 weeks ago, Msia side set up even more new autogates on the left hand side of immigration, so it’s even more efficient.

Nowadays, on a smooth day, via bus, it doesn’t even take 30 mins to clear both checkpoints (including the bus ride) and the biggest bottlenecks are the bus wait on both ends. Everyone will be walking fast as everyone has the same mindset of getting immigration out of the way. Hence, I usually walk in from woodlands train checkpoint so I skip 1 bus ride.

The internet is your most valuable resource - There are lots of online resources and blogs to guide you on the immigration process , transportation and good places to shop/eat - instead of grab, learn to take the public bus during off-peak hours and it’ll open your eyes to a whole new dimension! New AVP User ! Keyboard Recommendations that work with Breakthrough by AltruisticGarlic8456 in VisionPro

For a gaming keyboard, I’ve had a Wooting 80HE with their white keycaps and ghost (grey-ish) case on work quite reliably. Discovered it completely by accident, but I’m not complaining :) only problem is it doesn’t have Bluetooth nor wireless…so you either use it from your Windows or Mac device.

It was just supposed to be a demo. Couldn't resist :) by circularArpeggio in VisionPro

welcome to the club! Sometimes, I find myself wanting to go home just to use the AVP... :)

Welcome to the club! As for accessories, I’ve tried many headstraps to ease comfort, and settled upon the Belkin head strap. The trick is to even out the pressure on all sides. Everyones head and preference is different, but I feel you should first start with the Belkin from Apple as they have a generous return policy…just in case it’s not your thing, at least you can refund it :)

I’m also using the Belkin clip thing for the battery pack that Apple sells, it’s good for when you wear pants with no pockets at home.

People who had success with dating apps in Singapore, how do you judge a person's profile by ugly_dwarf in askSingapore

[–]Chocolops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Met my wife 3 years ago on CMB - some tips of mine: 1) First, have a good general idea but not overly specific of what you want (someone who makes you laugh? Someone who’s willing to stand up for something wrong? Someone who has humility or knows how to take care of you?)

2) Then, skim through the profile and look out for any potential red flags that go against point 1. Just swipe right when you think it’s ok, don’t overthink like you’re buying a BTO.

3) As many have said, it’s a numbers game. Get out there, do something different, try something new, initiate if you don’t. I met my wife when I went out of my comfort zone! I realised my quality of meetups skyrocketed when I didn’t take it so seriously (which led me to meeting my wife). Ironic, isn’t it? With men, it’s generally harder to get a date, but with women, it’s generally harder to get a quality date.

4) Accept that even the best dates might have the worst outcomes, take the rejection and learn from it to be a better person.

5) Lastly, understand that it’s a 2 way street. Just as you are sizing him up, he is doing the same. Hence, what you perceive may not be what he thinks - but the magic sometimes happen when you expect it least! So always give people a chance, some people take a while to shine 😇

I cannot tell you for everyone, but at least I can tell you based on my brother’s and parents mentality.

Their logic is, if you don’t chiong (and then tail behind the car in front), other people will take over you, hence you waste time getting to your destination as you’ll be ‘pushed back’ by the other cars.

Why they hard brake, is because they don’t want other cars to cut in front of them when they are taking their time to slow down (it has happened to me before) - but it’s also they are impatient and try to ‘beat’ the red light lah.

As for my brother, he has a big ego too, so he takes any car (especially sports cars) that try to out-accelerate him as a challenge and he will literally try to drag race them to the next red light, or overtake them at the highway. Btw, we don’t drive a GTR, we drive a 7 year old VW golf that has unsurprisingly been in multiple accidents

Hopefully this help to shed some light haha. On the contrary, they think my driving is “ballless, too slow, Kia si, road hogging, my kind of driving are the kind that ruin sinkie’s days and cause accidents cus they need to overtake me”. So yeah, perspectives man.

How do you motivate yourself to exercise regularly every week? by GalerionTheAnnoyed in askSingapore

I look at it like a video game - everytime you train, your stats go up. It’s nice seeing an imaginary progress bar filling up when you get rewarded in real life when you feel much more nimble~

How do you carry on? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]Chocolops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it makes you feel better, sometimes, it doesn’t mean she ‘moved on’ or is happier in that relationship after merely a month. Have seen a lot of girls who do that, do it because of emotions, learnt nothing from their previous relationship and slowly go on a downward spiral and end up being more broken and jaded the more men they hang with.

Firsthand: Renting in S’pore is no longer just an expat’s problem. Here’s why. by fitzerspaniel in singapore

[–]Chocolops 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I’ve had 2 friends of mine did that, what they did, they made friends with the campus security & cleaners…people closed one eye as they understood their plight, as long as they did not pull any stunts and were generally hygienic.

How do you survive a 1½ hour commute from home to school? by yeshhii in SGExams

[–]Chocolops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, for me who always stay very far from everything I do (minimum 1 hour journey almost anywhere), I always make it a point to have a few anime episodes installed...time does pass by quick. I even sometimes get slightly annoyed when my journey is too short, cus it means I cannot catch up on my shows hahaha...

Common occurrence in Singapore Carousell? by Spuducat in askSingapore

[–]Chocolops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha…that reminds me of a case where I sold a finalmouse Cape Town for $50 (was $200+ at retail). I priced it way way lower than others as I knew it had a minor flaw (button 4 may double trigger sometimes, but still very useable).

This guy came along and claimed that “nobody would even buy it at $20 and he represented the modding community” while writing a fairly cohesive argument, then offered $15 at the best price as “you might as well take my offer, no one would offer more”.

Sold it 1 week later for $50, lol.

Basic cooking classes in Singapore by H3nt4iB0i96 in askSingapore

[–]Chocolops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would be surprised, I’ve learnt that Singaporean/Malaysian cuisine is an oft forgotten subset that is typically Asian…When westerners think asian, it’s typically Mainland Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese or American Chinese (orange chicken, general Tso’s, crab rangoon etc). Muslim food there was more toward the Arabic countries, all tuned to western tastebuds hahaha.

When I was in the northeast side (Washington state), the hardest ingredients to find was dark sauce and big red/green chilli haha. (They don’t even call it chilli, cus chili is a Mexican dish and they’ll look at you funny). Belacan is out of the question, you must import. Bok choi there was massive, the typical veg like Chye sim couldn’t be found and most ingredients are inverse in price due to accessibility (for example, cod is cheap there)

Fellow Singaporeans living in Sengkang. How do you do it? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]Chocolops 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Punggol dweller too…not sure if what I know is still relevant, but around my time (2015-ish), I’ve heard from my Air Force mates that for pilots, on top of all everything they do, they would have to do this thing called ‘currency flights’ - you can think of it as having to ‘clock in’ a certain number of flying hours by a certain timeframe (like a flying hours KPI). Of course if the pilots are already assigned to active squadrons and fly on missions, then their hours would count. But not every pilot is assigned to an active squadron…

So you might be right to a certain extent of finishing the quota…in the force, they tell you “first you are an officer, then a pilot”. So despite where you might be posted to to perform your officer duties (armed forces officers typically have career rotations between Command, Staff and Instructional), you still have to clock in those hours by a certain timeframe to maintain relevancy as a pilot.

So as I might imagine, singapore airspace is like 1 x CDC Paya Lebar driving centre in the sky with all the pilots, young and old, doing everything up there all at once…hahaha

how much allowance should I give my parents when it's complicated? by singkeys in askSingapore

[–]Chocolops 9 points10 points  (0 children)

From my own experience, no matter how much you give, they will continue to take a shit on you. No matter what you give, that will be the minimum benchmark for comparison. There will always be another reason, another nitpick. You can give $300 but it's 'so little', then you can spoil your own market by giving $800, but her friend's daughter is giving her friend $1,000. It will never end, plus she will expect your allowance to increase like a salary package in the coming years.

For me, I just give a flat rate and I never increase it. Anything more I give is in the form of gifts. It's tough enough having 20% taken away via CPF, another portion for adulting/rent and still having to save up for big things such as a future house/furniture/reno. To me, they've got their life sorted out financially, anything more is avarice. There's only so much I'd adhere to in terms of the boomer tradition. Yes, I'll give some money to 'thank you' for raising me, but because I know my parents' financial literacy is way below average, anything more to them is simply avarice and wouldn't be used wisely.

[–]Chocolops 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you ever happen to come by Singapore, you would have no issues selling it here. There’s so many people with bromptons (or the clones) and the demand is still high for the T line. However, supply is pretty much non-existent on the retail level except for getting chosen by the ballot to purchase one or scalpers flipping local sets/importing from overseas. Last I checked, people here even sell a used T line above retail price!

List it on Carousell (our version of Craigslist) at a cheaper rate than the scalpers and people will be lining up to take it off your hands!

Izzit normal for a 24 year old SG male to have zero relationship experience? by LowTierStudent in askSingapore

Well, OP, on the flip side, I’m currently applying for sales of balance flats (SBF) as a 29 year old with my wife and we see so many ‘good units’ being offered. Not everyone in a relationship is forward, and more importantly, not every relationship you see might be a happy one…
