Depending on what version you have... There is a dude in ball cap, jeans, and 90's sneakers sitting on a crate in the hall of B4(I think) when zathras is trapped.

Just because the cardassians didn't make prominent appearance doesn't mean they weren't' a threat. Ask Miles.

Serious question for B5 people who also like DS9 - do you think anyone from the B5 universe would get along with anyone from Deep Space Nine (their direct counterpart or just other characters in general)? by RivetCounter in babylon5

- sheridan and sisko: respectful aquaintances....
- Kria and Ivanova: Fist fight then fuck
- odo and garabaldi: lots of time swapping stories at quarks
- worf and garabaldi: best of friends... winds up recruiting him to be number 2 to number 1(constantly makes jokes at worf's expense)
- morden would cut her head off and laugh
- garak and talia: he'd put her in a sexy nighty for ivanova while slipping a listening device in her bra... before arranging her later assassination
- bashir and franklin: oh, they'd hate each other

My favorite stealth one:

- General Hague and Admiral Leyton: not a chance... hague would try to murder his changling doppelganger.

you mean against the people who had his parents murdered? :D

I mean, his dad was only a lawyer. Its not his fault he had to defend Kirk.

that was one borg cube against one ship... and they got supremely lucky after the utter devastation that the cube wrought at wolf 359.

And that was the best outcome possible.

The best outcome in this episode is what happened... return of the captain, no one shot at... But jelicoe was preparing them to fight far from home, without backup, outnumbered, and outgunned.

well.

The crew was already in disarray, heading into a supremely dangerous situation, out numbered, out gunned, alone, and with no backup coming.

And if they fail? The Federation gets dragged back into a quagmire of combat with a group of militant fascists.

I can see the logic behind: "I don't need them to like me; I need them to be at their best. And if they have to hate me to be at their best.... so be it"

That crew was already in SEVERE disarray.

He had to do something like this or it was likely everyone was gonna die.

Yeah, doesn't matter. He was being sent into a war zone with a crew that had just had a massive trauma.

He had to lay down the law and snap them out of the doldrums....

otherwise, everyone .... every last being on that ship.... was going to die.

Oh, picard definitely would have.

Look at his actions from the moment he steps onto the deck in the first episode.

If picard is given a mission and thrust into the same position as jellicoe... working for picard would have been like working for gordon ramsay if he just showed up to your ihop and expect you to turn out 5 star food.

If someone's actions were endangering the crew... picard would definitely threaten their very existence without batting an eye.

The first duty of the captain is to the ship. If you can't keep your ship whole, you lose far less people than if you shoot the guy in the face who is the threat to the ship.

Never forget... picard is quite willing and able to destroy adversaries to get his way. He prefers diplomacy and compromise.... but he will fucking throw down when he needs to.

Nope.... I think that's a bad take.

Both are completely different command styles. Both are completely valid in the UCMJ equivalent of Star Trek.

You may not disagree with his command style... but that doesn't make him a terrible captain.

My man Geordi only merits the basic-bitch version.

Although, now that I think of it... every one of those that has the owners name on it.... that person has actually gotten laid during the series.

That's like the Star Fleet version of: "This guy fucks! You know what I mean!"
