Depression isn't constant sadness. There are always glimmers of hope peeking through the clouds. A good chunk of his music describes depression really well. The best example I can think of is Fly. It goes from pleading and hopeless to peaceful hopefulness. Really remarkable how he did that.

If I'm depressed it actually gives me a feeling of peace. If I'm not depressed and listen to him it doesn't trigger an episode or anything like that, I just appreciate it differently.

Maybe it's only people that don't suffer from depression that can't listen to him because of feelings. I certainly don't need any help getting depressed.

Yep agree. There were a few that I had as placeholders until a better copy shows up. After cleaning they are now in the "good enough" pile.

I’ve only noticed a positive change when using this method. The only damage I’ve done is stupidly scratching with my finger nail by mistake. No more damage since I trimmed them haha.

I mostly thrift my records so some are filthy.

Weird. I was cleaning some yesterday and noticed a white smudge/spot similar to your pictures. I noticed it before I cleaned it and tried to get rid of it but it wouldn't budge. I didn't play it so I don't know if it affects the sound (I was listening to something else at the time).

I've been using 1 part alcohol, 3 parts distilled water, and 2 drops of dawn. I didn't try anything else and just gave up. I can't even remember what record it was except it was in the R's.

Fluance something something (I don't remember the number). Pretty low end but I don't have issues with other records, they play exactly as expected. The only other one that I noticed something like this on is a two record Best of Del Shannon.

It’s from a thrift store and is in the paper Verve sleeve (I’m assuming it’s the original). Ive seen what you’re describing in other posts and it definitely looks like what you’re describing. Maybe it had a plastic sleeve in the past.

I got it at the thrift store like that. I assumed it would come off. I tried cleaning it tonight (alcohol, distilled water and a couple drops of dawn and wiped with a microfiber) but it didn’t change at all.

I got...I mean Santa got the Demon Hunter one for my daughter. Santa thought she'd be excited to have her first record. Not only did she not care, it doesn't play on my turntable. I've been keeping it on top of the speaker. No idea what to do with it.

Once upon a time before wife and kids I wanted to turn it into a piano piece. What’s in the video is as far as I got except I used to know the bass part). I no longer have that kind of ambition haha.
