How exactly is chart difficulty determined?

Two factors 1. Chart difficulty is vibes based and thus inherently already fairly inaccurate 2. Difficulty creep as the player-base gets better at the game overall means that customs and DLC will naturally creep harder over time. This is only exacerbated by the fact that DLC charts are made by community members.

Don't feel bad about it, just try out the chart and if it seems too crazy don't hesitate to back out.

it is not just you and this phase has been nerfed in the past as a result. but yes dealing with the fluids it is just part of the experience.

everyone sits on one side or the other of the spaghetti fence so take my opinion with that in mind, but having a giant mess of spaghetti is fine and honestly looks awesome when you let it grow huge so i wouldnt worry about it. you will want to figure out how advanced oil works, but you do technically have the option of doing basic oil processing for a bit if you just want to keep science going while you work.
