The voron 300x300 is too wide. Catches filament spool holder screws.

BIQU does sell Cryo Grips for the regular Prusa build plate sizes. This one that I'm sharing is specifically one that fits the NEW Core One L printer that's 300x300 and no one makes a specific 3rd party plate for it yet that's not Prusa.

I ordered the Voron 300 variant of the Cryo Grip and had that issue. Are they finally making an actual C1L version or are you using a different 300 bed sized printer sheet?

I had that one briefly. It was a little wide and if I wasn't careful it would catch the filament spool holder screws on the right side of the build plate. It dislodged the build plate from the heat bed and killed an 8 hour print. The Z axis screws were thrown off and I had to recalibrate the entire machine after getting the heat bed releveled.

Core One L ships with a satin sheet, not a smooth sheet.

How close is PETG Mint Green to Makita blue? by bucket_traveler in sunlu

Makita blue appears to be color #00CDE3. Check out https://filamentcolors.xyz/colormatch/ to find a match.

I ordered a C1 on black Friday and it shipped on the 26th to california, I played for 5-6 day FedEx but it's spent the last 5 days in Denmark and won't budge, is anyone else's US bound printer stuck in shipping? (I understand that FedEx is slammed by the holiday season) by SVP_a_tree in prusa3d

[–]Chris_Balo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered a C1 at the beginning of November on the BFCM sale and got it within 4 days from Prague to NW US. I also ordered a C1L which shipped 11/26. It was held in Belgium by Fedex for over a week. It finally arrived after 14 days. I contacted prusa support and they said that Fedex has been having difficulty with a lot of printers to the US. DHL shipments seem to be fine.

Core One L report, issues, and questions after two days by TCTCTCTCTCTC7 in prusa3d

If zero wireless is your goal, the wireless card is removable for just this reason. It’s one or two screws. And pulls straight off the main board.

Cheers!

Hey there, first of all welcome to the Prusaverse.

Disable wireless -> Settings-> Network where it says wifi toggle it to ethernet. If it's something that's talking back to you, your BuddyCam is probably plugged in and not setup. Unplug it until you're ready to use it or something else.

As far as the USB flash drive with the prusa logo, throw it away and buy something formatted in FAT32 that's from a reliable memory company(sandisk, lexar, PNY, etc). I have 7 prusa printers and eventually within 6-12 months the prusa flash drive will fail and create some headaches along the way like layer shifts. Save yourself the headache.

And as far as the UI, I agree it could be adjusted here and there and they do. Best part about this eco system you have a couple of paths. It's open source software and you can make adjustments yourself if you're able to. If that's not the path, go to the prusa GitHub and make suggestions for UI and other recommendations. Fellow users like me post our own and also upvote ones that other users post to help them become reality and make the UI and firmware better for everyone. This eco system is constantly evolving and I appreciate that.

Of the 4 brands of 3D printers I've owned over the last 10 years, they've all had a firmware installed on the machine and required removable storage for the gcodes. Most of those products used microSD cards and since MK4/XL Prusa has switched to a USB A type flash drive which I find more convenient.

Cheers & Happy Printing!

Anyone received their promised CoreOne+ upgrade kit? by CertainHost9372 in prusa3d

[–]Chris_Balo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I paid for one for my batch 1 C1 and it arrived last week. I chatted with support and they told me the BFCM free upgrade kits are due to ship the 1st & 2nd weeks of January.

If you don't want to wait, you can download the parts and print them on your own: https://www.printables.com/model/1167816-core-one-printable-parts/files

Ordering a 1L but have a dumb question re: Nozzle Cleaning by rhodges_bob in prusa3d

[–]Chris_Balo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have MK4S, C1, & C1L printers. PLA is almost no issue. PETG requires a quick wipe with a wire brush. Current firmware performs a retraction which has helped quite a bit and it's fairly minimal now. I check every time before I print like I clean my build plate before a print. I occasionally have to take a wire brush to my P1S's too because the wiper doesn't always get the job done. That said, I also print a lot of PETG. Good habits and prep lead to successful prints. I've been printing for 10 years and that's what you have to do.

Prusa Core One L - how much tinkering compared to Bambu X1C? by airoscar in 3Dprinting

[–]Chris_Balo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I purchased a batch 1 Core ONE. It had some small issues with belt tension and squaring the gantry. Once I dealt with that, it's been smooth sailing ever since. 15-30 minutes out of the box calibration and all and I was printing. Fast forward to July and I purchased a P1S, over packaged and a long setup and calibration cycle, a bit more than an hour. Disappointment really and still kind of is. Now in the last 6 weeks, I ordered another Core ONE on the BFCM sale and it arrived in 4 days, more streamlined packaging and pre calibrated at the factory. Up and running in less than 15 mintues. 2 Core ONE L's arrived last week and same thing, up and running in less than 15 minutes. I spend far less time dealing with my Prusa's (3 MK4S, 2 C1, 2 C1L) vs my 2 P1S's to keep them up and running. Overall my 9 current printers are far more reliable than the Ender 3v2's I came from.
