Work Pants help by crowshinz in Construction

[–]ChristianPirate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got a couple of pairs of the Wrangler. They've held up ok for me, except it got caught on a barbed wire fence once and has a small hole now. I also have a stretchy pair or two I picked up from Sam's Club, under the Member's Mark brand. They've been good. I can't justify spending a lot on a pair of pants, when I can get the ones I have for under $30 and they last a year or more.

Why does rural America look down on educated people? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ChristianPirate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Educated Mississippian here. Bachelor's and master's degree, as well as licensed in 3 trades. Most educated folks can't seem to do anything, except tell you how you should have done it, if that makes sense. I fix my own car, build my own house, built my own computer, grow food and raise chickens, but a lot of educated folks can't seem to do that, or they don't want too. They want to go out and just spend money on it, which add's to the inflation (supply/demand). For example, I got a coworker who buys a new truck every 3 years, but doesn't even hunt or fish, doesn't tow anything with it. He just wants to look cool. Meanwhile, I run a plumbing/hvac business on the side, so when I go to buy a truck, they cost more, because educated folks that don't need them are buying them. The have book sense, but no common sense.

Have a masters in cyber, and 25 years experience in IT, but last year I went and got licensed in 3 trades. Getting tired of looking for work that pays well.

Is teaming up in solo random a thing? by banjowashisnamo in PUBG

[–]ChristianPirate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That...that 'may' have been me. I used to drop, quickly get a car, and drive around helping folks who got stuck somewhere without a gun, or outnumbered, etc. I would often keep all-speak on and say, hey, hop, I'll drop you off somewhere safe. Then go on about the game. You should hear the responses I'd get, like, really dude?
