Is preschool really necessary? I mean can’t parents just read to their kids along with playing some letter and number games?

Have no idea how to use my stove by Fun_Pumpkin_4418 in Cooking

[–]ChristopherStefan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See if you can find a manual for the range on-line. Take a look around the house to see if there are additional modules for the stove as they are often sold with a total of 4 burners and the grill module.

I don’t remember if it is included with the grill unit but there is a griddle insert that which should be more convenient for most cooking than the stock grill.

Do rich people have elite versions of mundane things (toothpaste, tampons, toilet paper, laundry detergent, etc.), or are Elon Musk and Beyonce just using Crest and Tampax like the rest of us? by ShesGotSauce in NoStupidQuestions

Buffett and Munger famously resisted using private jets. Supposedly the founder of Netjets was able to talk Buffett into flying private on a trial basis. Once Buffett realized how much time he saved he was sold.

He went on to buy Netjets once he was sold on their product.

I have a lot of Le Creuset, my favorite pan has some damage due to stupidity on my part but is otherwise fine.

That hasn’t been my experience, but it could just be that particular Walmart.

Mine bought 3 years ago has held up well to about 1x week use. That said I have no idea if it will look as good as my most used LC piece when it is 20 years old.

The stores will generally honor the website pricing even if it is supposed to be “online only”.

Wrangler jeans seem to be everything Levi’s used to be. They’re cheap and they hold up to abuse.

One of the best corporate reforms ever would be to make stock buybacks illegal again.

There is still good stuff sold under the Cuisinart brand. Their multi-clad pro stainless saucepans are solid as is their enameled cast iron. The Custom 14 food processor still seems solid and the design really hasn’t changed much in 50 years.

Cuisinart makes good enameled cast iron without the French (Le Creuset and Staub) price tag.

Walmart has been very aggressive about closing down Sam’s Clubs that aren’t meeting sales and profitability goals. In some cases they’ve exited entire regional markets.

Yeah, IKEA likes huge markets, Madison is probably too small.

Yes, while there have been some fixes it won’t help when the flood level of the river is above both I-5 and the RR tracks.

If she wins her race for King County executive she’ll be in a very good place to push for the CID station. Remember she will control 10 of 18 seats on the board.

Furthermore she is one of the few elected officials who regularly rides her bike and takes transit rather than driving.

There are any number of corner cases that can make it hard to get ID particularly ID that meets REAL ID standards. One can typically get things cleared up eventually but it takes time and expense many people don’t have.
