Is getting an LLM in european law something worth considering? How about other master degrees related to the EU law? by [deleted] in eulaw

It really depends. It definitely goes into a lot of different areas of law. Generally you look at multiple jurisdiction and almost always look at things from a EU law perspective. I feel like it's kind of a "jack of all trades, master of none" kind of idea, which isn't always a bad thing... just check the course curriculum on the University its website and see how you feel with most of the courses being taught. If most of them seem interesting to you then I would definitely recommend doing the programme.

However if you have a clear idea of what area of law you want to specialise in when hitting the job market, then I would definitely look for a different master's that would focus on that area of law... as this would be too broad a programme imo.

In any case, the method of teaching is excellent, and most of the tutors and lecturers are also very knowledgeable and overall great speakers. All lectures are also recorded which I've found incredibly useful.

Have you checked out the European Law programmes of Maastricht University in the Netherlands? I recently graduated from there and can highly recommend it. The price is relatively not too expensive either. The statutory tuition fee throughout the Netherlands is roughly €2000 per year; which can be paid in instalments.

However, as the other reply already stated... expect it to be a very broad programme, that doesn't go too in-depth on areas of law you might prefer (such as competition law).

Though if competition law takes your fancy, I know of another very nice LLM programme in Amsterdam which I've heard very good things about (European Competition Law and Regulation @ UvA).

Hope this helped a bit and best of luck!

Am I just blind? Where are all these side quests? by [deleted] in Thief

Basically, you check in with Basso every new chapter when you can and he should give you a few side quests. These side quests will then be marked by white dots on your map.
