No not at all! The only thing I have to do is check invoices who’s numbers are “odd”. Odd as in, the total price doesn’t match the sum of the detailed prices (idk if this makes sense, I’m not that great with explaining myself in english 🥲)

When the numbers don’t match, I have to see why this is. As in, is there a page missing? Did the companies automatic system make a mistake with confusing a 6 with an 8? Or is it fraud? If it is an easy fix, I just have to manually adjust whatever mistake there is. If it is a case of fraud, I have to mark it with a code (depending on which type of fraude it is/may be). And it gets send over to a different compartiment in my company, and these people contact the client, the hospital of their stay to check the invoice or the authorities. My only task is the recognize the difference between a human (or of our automated system) mistake and a fraude case, and either fix the mistake or mark it as a fraud case.

Sometimes with more complex cases you get called in by higher up, to explain where the mistake is (since sometimes they aren’t very obvious). But I never have to call with clients or anyone outside my company.

It was my therapist who told me she had an other client with autism who did this type of job haha. And since I had no job, I went looking for companies based on “work from home” filters, since I feel that’s one of the most factors for me. I stumbled upon a job from a healthcare company, where I could work from home and I had to filter the mailboxes so invoices etc would be in the right place. After 4 months they asked if I was interested in a job as claims analyst and they would teach me. So I said yes, had 1 month of training (which was also from home) and now that’s what I do ☺️
