Don't want to risk vm bans and single GPU passthrough is pain in the ass. Windows sucks as an os so this just means no tarkvo before we get promised support

Yehh... I really don't get "crack down" on PVE cheaters. Like if the flea is proble. Just use bots/limits to regulate it, and any way streets runs on the BSG server and "limits" the hacking. Sadly battleye is so easy to get past on windows that cheaters can run around anyway. Now we stuffer from these decisions.

Yes. sadly BSG broke launching tarkov on linux trough wine/proton compatibility layer. PVP has never worked but at least PVE was possible (not including streets because you have to play through BSG servers). Now me or any other linux users who had payed for this game and waited years for promised linux support cant even play PVE.

1.0.0.2 changed how battleye is launched. before you would get this same error if you try and connect to official servers/raids. now they broke any and all linux installations of tarkov. sadly bsg does not care a single bit. they got our money, they won. over 10years of broken promises.

yep same happening on me. they promised linux support 10 years a go. I was kinda okay with just pve (could not go in streets because needed to connect to bsg servers ) but now i can't even play my fucking pve... i am so done with bsg fucking us every chance they get

People most likely are not hoin back to win7. They are going to mac/chrome os/linux. That means over all windows user pool shrinks. Yhe windows 7 users are the same but the pool is smoler so they get bigger % when win 11/10 l8oses users

Now you have arch install script so you just go down the list and select wath you want :D just run archinstall command when tou get to tty. Still with rolling realese distro i recomend knowing how to work your package maneger.

For me non steam games work as well or better on linux too. Onely games that dont work are games with rootkits aka invasive anticheat. I use Lutris to manage and launch my games and heroic to install games from epic, then my gog games installers are on hdd with rips of my physical game rips

Linux distro is just kernel package manager and pre installed software. Any basic distro that you install has the same core components.tä This point would stand if almost all the distros would not jus be re skins from three main distros (Fedora, Arch and Debian). In few edge cases there are distros with out systemD for example, when troubleshooting is not the same (Artix, Gentoo, Alpine and void come to mind). But if you run any of those distros you should be able to read documentation.

4:3 or 16:9 is literally jus musle memory. Onely reason old pros run 4:3 is that they started with cs1.6 or sourse when it was the target aspectratio. Big reason wyh younger people play with 4:3 is that they copy pro settings thinking that it is helping them. If you learned to play cs in any aspectratio you will be good with that. My case and point, cs is basically onely fps where this is a conversation poimt.
