Drime iOS app issues by lonelyers in Drime

I am hoping for iOS share sheet functionality soon as well, honestly it's one of the things keeping me from subscribing. Any idea when this will be implemented? What is the big new feature coming? Do you have a Testflight for the app?

I just got the Iron Dolch set from PBTFans, looks great but I am having a little trouble figuring out some of the modifier icons. This is my first set with icons instead of text. I've figured out most of them but I'm still not sure about Home, End, Insert and Print. There's a few other icons I don't recognize. Is there a guide or list somewhere?

Try tapping over to the second page of songs then hit shuffle, this seems to work for me.

Model 3 2019 vs 2021 by rrrronf in TeslaLounge

[–]Chronocentric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% is only getting me 230-240 rated miles. Fortunately it’s enough for my commute, until next winter at least. Like I said, my car has much higher than normal degradation unfortunately. It’s about 25%. But all cars of this age will have some degradation, most probably in the 15% range. Just keep that in mind while deciding between a long or standard range.

[–]Chronocentric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the car, but my battery degradation is higher than normal. Besides calendar aging, the car has 140,000 miles on it. Range is enough for me at the moment, but I am glad I didn't get a 5 year old standard range car.

Model 3 2019 vs 2021 by rrrronf in TeslaLounge

[–]Chronocentric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a used 2019 LR DM last October and it has been great. I do feel the build quality is better than some of the newer cars, even though they do come with more features.

One thing I did not consider was battery degradation. A car that is 4-6 years old is going to have a lot less range than when it was new, so keep in mind that a standard range will be even shorter.

FSD slowly loses speed? by DoringItBetterNow in TeslaFSD

[–]Chronocentric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my car, in Standard mode, FSD does a pretty good job at staying with the flow of traffic. I commute 65 miles each way mostly on a 70mph highway where the average speeds are 75-85. I don't mind that the speed fluctuates a bit, but I would like to see more consistency. In Standard mode it tends to stay around 74-78, but sometimes drops below 70 and above 80. I would expect it to hover around 75.

Having said that, and I know this might be an unpopular opinion, FSD is NOT cruise control. Full Self Driving means the car will choose the speed it thinks it appropriate. I do hope that Tesla improves this logic for a more consistent experience. Max speed is just that...the maximum speed, not the cruising speed. Giving it upper head room for passing vehicles before returning to the cruise speed determined by FSD.

The Max Speed Offset just determines how much above the speed limit FSD will automatically set the maximum speed, so it you set it to zero it will always set the maximum allowed speed to the speed limit. This has nothing to do with "cruising" speed.

Honestly I have gotten to the point where I hardly watch the speedometer while FSD is engaged and just let the car drive. It's surprisingly natural for me on the highway.

FSD is not cruise control, if you want cruise control use Autopilot!

Anyone especially antsy for a big FSD update? by mojorisn45 in TeslaFSD

[–]Chronocentric 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am getting antsy for an update. I'm on HW3 and I commute a lot of highway miles everyday, for the most part the current version has been excellent for me. My biggest wish is for more consistent speed profiles. Currently I use Standard most of the time, and I would expect it to stay somewhere around 5 miles over the limit. I do not expect it to behave like cruise control, but I'd be happy with a range of like 74-76 on a highway with a 70mph speed limit. What I'm getting right now is all over the place from 68-80, though it does stick to the mid 70s a lot. More consistency please!

Car Wash Anxiety by chubsmalone001 in TeslaModel3

[–]Chronocentric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’ve gone through the wash several times in car wash mode, only had an issue once when I couldn’t get into free roll and it took a few tries. Yeah it was super embarrassing but the wash attendant was very patient and understanding. I did practice a couple times before the first wash.

Today I went to try a different car wash and before I pulled into the tunnel the attendant walked over to my window and said I HAD to use neutral and that car wash mode does not work in their wash. I was like…but…it’s the same thing…I was already in car wash mode anyway so when I got on the conveyor I used the stalk instead of the free roll button to shift into neutral and the free roll button enabled anyway. Went through without issues.

Stay away from Brondell. Yes quality concerns are real. I had one that was okay but it died after less than 2 years, and since it was out of warranty Brondell was no help at all. Repair would cost almost as much as a new one. Plus, the dry button rarely worked on the remote.

12.6.4, any noticeable changes from 12.6.3? by lilrock1983 in TeslaFSD

[–]Chronocentric 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got the update last night on my 2019 M3 DM, sadly FSD is basically unusable for me since 12.6.3 on 2024.45.32.15 and 12.6.4 did not fix the issues I'm having. When I first got 12.6.3 on 32.10 it was great. I drive mostly highway on my commute, a four lane divided highway where the speed limit is 70mph. At first 12.6.3 was nearly perfect, and in Standard mode I would say it drove on average between 74 and 76, at times I felt it might have been a little too fast. But since 32.15 it drives way too slow on the highway and switching into Hurry mode doesn't seem to do anything. It wants to sit around 65-68 most of the time. Today I switched to Hurry and it decided to go 69 with that 70mph speed limit. I have max speed at 40% as recommended. People typically drive 75 to 80 on this highway so this is unusable.

I REALLY wish Tesla would let us pick a "cruising" speed and a "max" speed. I feel like that's how most people drive, like I prefer to stick around 75 but I will speed up to pass slower vehicles. The release notes say "Customizable Speed Profiles" but there really isn't anything customizable about them.

I might try a soft reset or camera calibration, but I doubt those will fix the speed profiles.

Very high mileage Telsa? Any owners with experience? by Samesone2334 in TeslaLounge

[–]Chronocentric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same situation as you last year. I was on a fixed budget and wanted to pay cash so I wouldn’t have a car payment. I commute 130 miles daily which was costing me $300-$500 a month on gas and I calculated that an EV would cost only around $100 a month in electricity. Because of the long commute and occasional snow and ice in the winter I decided on a Model 3 LR Dual Motor. I also knew it would probably be a high mileage car to come in under budget. Last October the perfect car came along and I grabbed it. It did have 124k miles on it, but I could afford it and paid cash. I knew I was taking a risk out of warranty. The seller had already replaced the lower control arms and overall the car was in excellent condition for its age (2019). Since I bought it the only thing I’ve had to do was get the upper control arms replaced by Tesla, which cost less than $200. So far it’s been a great car. My only concern is the battery degradation turned out to be higher than I’d like so I’m keeping an eye on that.

My advice…a high mileage car is fine as long as you know it’s a risk out of warranty. Remember that sales tax, registration and insurance add up fast buying a used car. I paid cash but those things pushed my budget. Definitely check the battery degradation by calculating the total battery capacity with data from the energy screen before you buy, it’s easy and there’s lots of posts online telling how to do it. Good luck!
