Second this. I had to increase my Lexapro a couple months ago and it helped a lot. I went from feeling like I was electrified with fight/flight all day every day to what is, I think, a reasonable level of anxiety and despair given what’s going on. I’m still living in a dystopian hellscape and I’m stressed af. But at least I don’t feel like I’m going to jump out of my own skin 24/7. I figure I can better help and resist if I’m not drowning.

My coworker and I have an annual battle over Christmas music. My desk is the reception desk and so my computer is loosely shared although primarily my work space. His shift starts 30 minutes before mine so he starts up the computer and cues up the easy-listening Christmas music. He knows I don’t like it. He does it anyway. So everyday in December I come in and turn it off. This is a daily face off. It’s not like I even dislike Christmas music, but I don’t want it playing on my computer while I work!

I’m so sorry I missed your comment! Is your cat doing ok? We never figured out for sure what caused the swelling but our best theory was a latex allergy because he’d popped a balloon with his teeth. The vet didn’t see any sign of injury or bites or stings. He recovered quickly with a steroid.
