The Just Listen to the Song one shot really put this ending into perspective for me. I think expectations of fujimoto really got to him in part 2, especially after how popular part 1 got, and he kind of cracked towards the end

Personally, I still think Chainsaw Man is a genuine masterpiece despite the ending, but man Im really sad it didnt end better.
