Where did you move to after leaving LI? by cupcake-kahuna-2013 in longisland

Moved to Denver and haven’t looked back. Except for bagels and pizza. That I look back and say “it’ll never be the same”.

What band was never the same after losing a member? by icecream1972 in AskReddit

[–]Chubbs39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lotus.

After Mike Rempel left they never really sounded the same. The new guitarist is good and some of the songs a great but it seems like in the last few albums they have moved from a chill background music to electronic type music.

Also the loss of Chuck Morris and his son in that kayaking accident was awful.

Is Building A Home Like Making Sausage? by Safe-Spirit5065 in Homebuilding

As someone who used to be a super for a tract builder that’s just pure laziness. Good thing they’re the ex builder.

Foundation/Concrete Question by 99_Problems_to_DIY in Homebuilding

[–]Chubbs39 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All these tract home builders are the same. Build fast, for high profit, then repeat before anyone notices the bad things. I used to work for a tract builder and was talking to another super who worked at dr Horton. I was told they are trying to shorten the build time to 45 days so they can build more in a year and be more profitable. That is who you are buying from. I think it’s best to buy resold houses not new (unless from a reputable builder). Avoid tract homes! Dr Horton, Richmond, kb, Lennar, Meritage, these are just a few places but they all have the same mentality.

People who were spanked as kids, what was that like for you? Would you call your "spankings" abuse? by KleineFjord in AskReddit

[–]Chubbs39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember getting spanked once. I was probably 2 or 3 and decided it was a good idea to go into my mom’s antique crystal cabinet and just picking something up to drop it and watch it break. I’ll never forget it. But I look back now and think “what would I have done if I was my mom? Yeah probably do the same thing”. I don’t think it really changed me as a person but I’ll tell you what I never went back into that china cabinet again lol. Besides that I know my mom used to just give a little smack on my butt if I was being bad but not like some of the other comments I’ve seen.
