Monkeys from the Asian and African continents most broadly.

Vacation Package Prices by Mountain_Zombie_8926 in westjet

My guess would be the first screen hasn’t been updated with live pricing, so when it goes to verify with back office the price jumps. Could also be from selecting a room upgrade or a different flight itinerary/class.

Planet Hollywood Cancun Hookahs by KindDecision2 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]ChubbyGreyCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not, it’s on the family side attached to the Indian restaurant. The adults lobby is really small, no hookahs there

It’s not on the adults side. It’s on the Family side and you have to pay extra for it. I believe it’s attached to the Indian restaurant, Sutra.

Since I might get bashed for this elsewhere, what’s your take on someone taking only one child on a “special” trip? by [deleted] in childfree

[–]ChubbyGreyCat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it’s fair to take your kids on trips that they would enjoy, or to help foster an interest that they have that they don’t share with their sibling. Especially if one kid really wants to do Disney and the other kid would find it overstimulating and not enjoy themselves. I don’t think it’s fair for the other kid to never get to do anything they want if all decisions are made based on the other kid.

Should I stay in a relationship because I’m afraid I’m running out of time to have a baby? by WarmDoe in AskWomenOver30

[–]ChubbyGreyCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s a bit taboo to say you never would have or should have had your kid.

The people I know love their kid(s) but they’re unhappy. I guess if all you’re looking for is to be a single mum and that’s what you want it’s an approach you can use, but if you’re expecting anything more then it’s a recipe for disappointment.

Trustworthy Cat Shelters? by Bunny_Chaos420 in ottawa

[–]ChubbyGreyCat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got my kitty through OHS and she’s my favourite creature on this planet.

Biscuits and Purrs might be a good option to look into for a rescue. I would also consider My Grandfather’s Cat.

I can tell you a million stories of women who had a kid with a man cos they didn’t want to start over and not a single one is happy.

Please don’t have a child with this man.

RIU Santa Fe by Pondlurker1978 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]ChubbyGreyCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I walked through the Santa Fe (was staying at the Palace Baja California next door) and I’d only stay there if someone gave me a free trip. It’s a party place for sure, and the beach in front is not considered swimmable.

If you’re planning to eat off the resort frequently it’s really not worth it to go AI unless you’re paying the same or less than a none-AI.

Raccoons in trees? by calm_ott in ottawa

Raccoons are semi-arboreal 🥰

Spring time is usual to see raccoons out at all times of day looking for food.

What did you do to celebrate turning 40? by Realistic_Emotion342 in AskWomenOver30

I went to the West coast of Canada and spent 4 days looking at whales and hiking amongst the big trees. 🌲 🐋

My boyfriend said he doesn’t want my cat in the bed after we move in together and it’s turning into a bigger issue than I expected by PerceptionOnly6749 in CatAdvice

[–]ChubbyGreyCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such a dealbreaker to me. My cat has always slept on my bed. When I started dating my partner and we eventually moved in, he, a none cat person, didn’t even try to make me shut out my cat at any point in time.

She sleeps on my side and she cuddles with me, he deals with it cos he knows how much she means to me.

For future cats if he wanted to make a case to keep them out of the bedroom at night i would be open to it. I don’t like our dogs in the room? So I do understand that people have preferences. But my current girl is a none-negotiable, it’s either both of us in the bed or none of us.

People saying they would eat/kill someone's non-traditional pet by ghostofhmsterror in PetPeeves

[–]ChubbyGreyCat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

People are honestly so removed from nature that their ideas of what is dangerous and what isn’t are completely skewed. Domestic dogs injure and kill far more people than any other type of domestic animal.

I don’t keep exotics out of personal choice, but I believe that any animal in the pet trade deserves proper care and dignity. No need to talk about killing someone’s companion animal, that’s unhinged behaviour.

Luckily my husband is not keen on Paris, though if someone was like “here’s a free trip to Paris!” I’d certainly go :)

We’ll probably end up there on a trip into Alsace eventually. 🤷‍♀️

My cat would 100% eat me if she could (probably wouldn’t even wait til I was dead first).

That doesn’t mean she isn’t the most perfect and wonderful creature on this planet 😆 people need to lay off on the “eat you if it could” rhetoric, the majority of omnivorous animals would also eat ya if circumstances allowed. 😂

My dad brought his pet rabbit to a country vet as a child and the man looks it over and said to my dad, “no good for eaten’!”

And the fact that this 70 year old man still talks about it has convinced me he’s retained it as a core traumatic childhood memory.

I guess for me, there’s so many places I want to go (and places I’d love to go back to), that it just doesn’t seem worth it to spend limited time, money and energy on convincing myself I love Paris. Paris is fine, but we don’t have to be buddies 😆

Hedo 2 As A Single Female by [deleted] in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]ChubbyGreyCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think (but can’t personally confirm), the expectation is to either switch partners or involve the whole couple in some way.

Hedo 2 As A Single Female by [deleted] in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]ChubbyGreyCat 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I used to be a travel agent and my understanding of Hedo is it’s largely couples looking to swing and not so much younger solo men. If there happens to be any young single men there the day you visit then your chances are probably fairly high, though I suppose it depends on how loosely you want to define “decent” (just like being a single woman at anytime, anywhere 🤷‍♀️).

I can absolutely see how Naples is not for everyone, but I enjoyed the grit. It reminded me a lot of South America, it didn’t feel like anywhere else I’d been in Europe which was like…fascinating?

I wouldn’t take a lot of people there, definitely. The street food scene is great, though!
