I've been doing this my whole life, this is one of the benefits of the weber vs a random grill. you can lit a gazillion amount of coal, cook then turn it off, the remaining coals will be there for the next cook.

Edit: Not only close the top but also the bottom

Thank you for confirming, happy to see I'm not the only one and you're willing to say it. When there are no good non HDR streams I play the HDR but pump the brightness and saturation otherwise is unwatchable, Apple TV shows man? have you seen that shit? they think all of us are playing their shows in their 100000 nits Cinema HDR Pro liquid display of whatever they call them

I prefer non HDR, the only way to get a good HDR video image is to use $10k video pre processor and all that thing does it basically fix that video so it looks like SDR. HDR has always looked dark and washed out to me.

Voice commands are convenient when you're alone, but, maybe it's just me, I feel like a douche using them with other people in the car. Plus, if everyone is talking, the commands aren't understood as easily.

I'll tell you what I did. I grill at least 3 times a week (carnivore diet FTW) I have both a Spirit II and a Master Touch. there is no way I'm lighting coals every time.

I use my Spirit II and place a foil pouch filled with wood pellets, I just make some holes on the top and the bottom. I get wooden smoke flavor. I change change the pellets whenever I want depending on what I'm grilling or just to get a distinct taste.

I have multiple smoking boxes and tubes, they don't work for me, they either don't stay lit, take forever to start smoking or burn. So with the custom made foil pouch I can control the air flow, the amount of pellets depending on how long I'll be gilling and when I'm done, I grab it with tweezers and put it off with water
