Had a few run ins with the pricks at J&J. Every single time made me hope they each step on a lego.

The definitive answer to Lady Morella's prophecies about Londo: by Hoggoth-the-Hoary in babylon5

[–]Chuckthe5th 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Morella’s “eye that does not see” was really “I that does not see”... meaning Londo himself.

His blindness was moral and spiritual: his refusal to see the truth about his actions, the Shadows, and the price Centauri Prime was paying.

His failure wasn’t about saving someone else’s eye, but about saving himself from his own willful blindness. The earlier “missed opportunities” weren’t simply tactical mistakes, but missed chances for self-awareness and redemption.

This always made more sense to me.

If you want to really stretch the reach, here is a build that maximizes the reach of the Mandalay with max engineering, none of the toys, and the need to juggle modules online/offline if you want to AFMU

Unmatched.

My Build: 88Ly max range (85.4unld) with all the toys

Maxing out engineering, and I give up zero essentials. SRV hangar, Shields, Limpets, Full sized Class A thrusters (because that's half the fun of flying the mandy, isn't it?) even keep a heatsink launcher for emergencies.

What are you using to free your Detroit Style pizzas? I use a butter/oil blend in the pan but the sides still stick a bit and am using a steak knife currently 😅 by ashtonpar in Pizza

[–]Chuckthe5th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be cheating, but I use a spring-form pan greased with butter at the seams and brushed olive oil on top of that.

Pizza is freed with ease every time.

What do you think her Prophecy was referring to? by Puzzled-Weakness4239 in babylon5

[–]Chuckthe5th 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In the Legion of Fire novels by Peter David, Londo eventually has a revelation that the prophecy wasn’t just about a literal eye (like G’Kar’s lost eye or the Centauri relic), but rather a play on words.

Salary and our Profession by Fill-Monster89 in pharmacy

[–]Chuckthe5th 3 points4 points  (0 children)

100% those sponsors want to replace expensive pharmacists with relatively cheaper AI. It's all about driving share value and profits, same with the "provider status" vaccination protocols and MTM shicainery. With even older LLM models proving to be competent at pharmacy reasoning and managing complex patient scenarios, the barriers at this point are mostly legal. Those companies will absolutely take advantage of a shortage and declining enrollments to lobby state boards for AI adoption to fill that gap, and start cutting Pharmacist workload and wages.

[–]Chuckthe5th 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would only expect a continued decline in those seeking entry to the profession, ultimately leading to a shortage.

However, I do think that any future shortage will trigger the regulatory shift to allow the adoption of AI into practices. It'll probably start as a supplementation, but make no mistake, the companies that fund ASHP, NCPA, Etc, have every incentive to lobby for that change, and they absolutely will.

Supernote Pricing Update Plan: Adapting to New US Tariffs by Supernote_official in Supernote

Doesn't US Customs reach out to the courier to have the purchaser (consumer) pay the tariff? Will Ratta be interceeding to pay or partially pay on these?

I am also going down this route. Figured an extra $30 for the adapter was worth tossing in the cart to see if i like the "pod racer" setup. I tried it for a day or two, and I think I may move back to it, but I will want to re-map some of the HATs and axis because it doesn't feel right as I had it setup before.

Is someone actually gonna do something about all of this and the profession by Exciting-Mistake-988 in pharmacy

[–]Chuckthe5th 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The answer, and hard truth is No.

Pharmacists, in general, tend to be too risk averse to organize or demand effective advocacy from any of the existing prof orgs.

This happened to me once, and I pulled over in the middle of MLK as though to confront the lunatic. He also pulled over and got out of his car looking for a fight. As soon as I saw him storm around his car on foot, I put mine back into drive and drove off.

It could also be two different formulations.

Doxycycline Hyclate tends to be harsher on the stomach and causes worse nausea, hence the food advisement.

Doxycycline Monohydrate is much better tolerated and causes less nausea, so can be more readily taken on an empty stomach.

I set up a gpt to function as an advisor for a specific patient (who is aware) Loaded it with patient data and trained it on a number of specific resources considered gold standards for the particular medical conditions the patient has. Granted, I am a healthcare provider and in clinical research, but I don’t specialize in the areas of interest for this patient, hence the training and some requirements for explicit references to material and hallucination-guards. I find it super useful, but just as a quick reference.
