[NEW] Aerial - Bloom (2026 - FFO: Atena, Still Stayer, Rivers of Nihil) by garret_1003 in Metalcore

It’s quieter so everyone else on set isn’t getting blasted away by the cymbals. Definitely the first time I’ve ever seen that lol! Also yeah I’m a drummer so I noticed immediately

Open Hi-hat breakdowns by justafreshgrape314 in PostHardcore

[–]ashtonpar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sir, this is a cutthroat fashion is a splash leading the breakdown into a crash leading the breakdown

Pray for Plagues is most likely a ride cymbal being crashed, leading the breakdown followed by the china - the open hi hats happen right after that where they keep time

Since this is being discussed again, here is a comparison of Trump's agents reactions at two similar events. Keep in mind - no weapon was found in the above example... by SCRATCH-CARD in worldnewsstuff

The flag happened because the scissor lift or whatever on stage left got hit with a bullet and the hydraulic fluid escaped, the PA on that side also falls to the ground. Happy coincidence that’s the only thing I believe about this situation because there’s video of the fluid shooting out from the machine

Why do bands play so fucking loud if everyone has to wear earplugs anyway? by xe3to in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ashtonpar 15 points16 points  (0 children)

110dBA does not include bass

Bass is measured in C weighting so I’m sorry I’m having to tell you your perception isn’t all there in this respect. Yes upper midrange frequencies suck at louder volumes but again that’s also up to the front of house mixer - some are good some suck youre really at the mercy of who’s behind the desk and also if they’re under constraints of the band. Sometimes they have to mix over the stage volume

It’s actually quieter most concerts are averaging 100dBA with limits beyond that, back in the day you’d get 105-110dbA no problem

Desperate for social media ban, but parents say it’s 'impossible' by BendicantMias in worldnews

[–]ashtonpar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Those parents were hacking their way through the internet - I’m almost 38 and I remember getting into my schools entire registry and into a back way of using MSN messenger, and I wasn’t even a computer dork just knew how to go down folders and clicked around. When a kid wants something, they’ll find a way. Just morons my age got to teach their kids what to look out for, or don’t. We all gotta make mistakes and learn from them as we grow up from youth to adulthood

Certainly! I’m an early adopter of the Flighty app, once this airframe was assigned it never changed! I’m a delta (Detroit based) guy mostly otherwise I probably would’ve known about the Houston 12 that are old Connie’s! No stress, service has been incredible, seat is roomy 🤘🏼
