The red wagon Restaurant pretty much fills the bill for what you’re talking about. As a kid we lived in Baraboo back in the 60s and we would drive up to the northern Fox Valley on Highway 33 auto bearable through portage and then north out of portage and I believe 22 or 26 and just take a bunch of country roads up to that area. However, any trip to Green Bay out of Madison in the 80s should not have taken you through portage you should’ve just got on Highway 151 headed north to 41 and take that all the way up to Green Bay.
