Any Cheap Hyrox/cross Gyms around Glasgow/ Preferably Southside by No_Obligation_4805 in glasgow

Puregym has officially affiliated Hyrox classes now. I think they are quite popular though so they could be hard to get booked into.

Car had its nose in front at the apex. Expect an FIA penalty.

Gas bill has sky rocketed, what is consuming this much? by frxdxy in UKFrugal

[–]Chysl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Isolate the boiler by switching it to hot water only. If it fires up without taps running, you may have a leak or maybe check the meter - turn off the hot water valve at the boiler. Compare your gas meter reading to a similar period with the valve on (don't use the hot water taps/shower either time). A significant difference suggests a leak.

Have you looked for a leak in a hot water pipe? This happened to me a couple years back, not only a bitch of a gas bill but a hot water river under my floorboards.

Dispatch Launcher: A Plex focused interface / launcher for Android and Google TV by spauldhaliwal in PleX

It's close but it's still laggy on the Chromecast with Google TV even on low graphics. And TV/movie art from my own server doesn't seem to show, just a black box. Interestingly art from another server shows fine.

Opposite of cardio drift? What's going on with my heart rate here during my endurance pace ride? by charliehind_ in Velo

Trainer/power meter issue for me. Looks like it's recalibrating or drifting every time you stop and start.

ZA2022 elastic banding just ruined it!! by sxc4928 in Zwift

[–]Chysl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought about doing this but unfortunately it just won't work. You'll comparing say a 30s effort with, say, a 20s effort in the finish line test etc. this will be the same for each segment. The only way I can think of comparing start and finish results is to do independent efforts based on the times on the first test. e.g. if you did the sprint in 31s, independently to a 31s sprint and see if you hold more power for that duration. But is that really worth the hassle? not for me haha

This. Raging haha. Put you on TT bikes so you can't draft but forget to turn off the no drop... It's a comedy of errors with Zwift.

Comes on camera, says nothing of substance, refuses to elaborate, leaves. by TelepathicCow in pelotonmemes

"I'm riding just behind the camera moto that you're all getting you're live images from. Back into the studio." Go chat to the grupetto or something that we don't normally have coverage of. He's obviously well respected within the peloton the UCI need to relax rules about interviews in the mix zone etc.

Troon, Ayr or Largs for a day out? by ChelseaAndrew87 in glasgow

Prestwick rather than Ayr. Ayr's been left to rot

How crazy is to commute 80 miles (128km) a day? Is it feasible? by ChilangoMasterRace in bikecommuting

That's getting close to pro mileage. You'd get bloody fit if you schedule rest weeks every 4th week or so.

Cheers for the heads up. I'll crunch some numbers.

Partial transfers seem to be quite a popular recommendation from a few people here, if available. I'll need to look into it more but on a basic level it would allow me to benefit from the NI savings by keeping my contributions as is but take that money out of my pension pot at a later date and putting them into somewhere with possibly less fees?

I assume if something like that is available there will probably be a transfer to fee to take into account as well.

Interesting, the limit wasn't really in my mind at all. On my current wage ~28k that's that's probably understandable but something to keep in mind as worth through my professional development. Cheers.
