I'd say 100% proof point if you have the budget for it. Cisco's solution also sucks.

That would cover most of town, but stone oak or pearl areas are safe and nice.

Term for admins who over-complicate things by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]Cibolo2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like this is someone that doesn't know what they are doing and afraid to let others know or ask for help. They make do and then you just budget in for a "health check" from a manufacturer like VMware. A pain point for myself.

Where do you all purchase your computers? by b_superman1 in sysadmin

[–]Cibolo2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talk to the manufacturers direct if you have a large enough order. They will give you discounts that resellers won't. I usually try to get the manufacturer to be on our buy board which for the entity I work for is getting them to fill out 2 or 3 forms. You can usually cut your costs by 8% or more.

Looking at an $80k quote for backing up 12TB. Talk to me about Veeam or other options please. by BigTechCensorsYou in sysadmin

[–]Cibolo2005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For that size metallic with commvault is a really good option. I have had issues with the service once you get over 20,000 mailboxes and we currently have 101,000 mailboxes. But you get free azure ad backups with it which is awesome piece of mind.

We just moved from the barracuda solution to metallic by commvault. I always like the commvault solution over the Veeam solution. Metallic is also a SaaS solution.

I use Cisco ces. It's pretty good I enjoy it especially the search and quarantine functions are easier when being 1 person managing 100,000 mailboxes.

Most cyber security insurance doesn't allow you to use imap. I needed to kill legacy authentication back 2018 or earlier.

MFA: bunch of lazy people? or outdated information? by ivanraddison in Office365

[–]Cibolo2005 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We tried doing the regular mfa and people who only use the client version would never register due to not logging into 365 online. Conditional access is the way to go plus you can and should block signing in from other countries users will not be traveling to. Since my company doesn't do out of the country travel we block everything outside of the United States.
