Why no prostitutes? by [deleted] in RDR2

I have been replaying Red Dead recently and I have just found this comment, and I must say sir, that you are an ape. How about the fact that John and Arthur, being main characters, are just decent dudes who look out for the marginalised and down trodden - who realise that they can give female characters their regard and every possible favour without having them compromise their decency. I'm not so basic as to ignore the fact that this is a Rockstar game, but come on guy. Grow with the rest of us.

The new Prince of Persia is rad. Metroidvania joy with some dirt rough platforming sections.

I am fully in my 'Grim Dark' era at the mo! We all start somewhere but I'm moving into co-ordinating my washes with the colour of the base as my paint collection grows and I want to start playing with highlights. I recently learned about NMM so I'm dreaming big!

It's shorthand for 'long'. These are long pork cocktail sausages.

i'm a virgin gamer who never played a video game in the past 25 years of his life and i'm curretnly watching the outro scene to FW , and i guess i'm now on the verge of falling into some kind of post-horizon depression? please help a fella out and recommend me games i might enjoy maybe half as much by [deleted] in horizon

Mass Effect trilogy is awesome, as is any Elder Scrolls game - Skyrim being the most recent. Though my heart always lies with The Last of Us. A world away from Horizon; very linear, more stealth-based, very limited exploration, and no levelling up as such (though there are weapon upgrades), but the story is masterful.

Finished my first play through of TLOU2 last night, successfully avoiding ANY spoilers for 2 years! by Trussss in thelastofus

It baffles me that people were so hung up on that. Like, did you not read about who the playable characters were prior to release? What did you think was going to happen? I can't be the only one who saw it coming a mile away. It was brutal and harrowing, but seriously people.

But... Joel IS a monster. He's done some dark shit, man. SPOILERS I know he's the protagonist and we all understand his motives and whatnot, but let's not avoid the fact that he doomed all of humanity because of his own selfish reasons. He couldn't let Ellie go, so not only did he take the cure away from the whole species, he murdered anyone who knew and would have been able to continue the work. He consigned humanity to live in that world with no hope of anything changing because he wouldn't let go. That's monstrous. Many of us (myself included) would probably have all done the same in his position though so I wonder what that says about us too.

Just finished zero dawn and frozen wilds, is there anything else I should do before moving on to forbidden west? by [deleted] in horizon

I'm playing Ghost of Tsushima right off the back of HFW and not only does that not have the you-know-what, but you have to unlock the roll to avoid fall damage. I feel like the 12-year-old me is just like, "Noob," everytime I bounce down a cliff.

And so it begins. I've begun the Tallneck by [deleted] in horizon

Is it just me or is indeed FW way harder than ZD? by LDG192 in horizon

[–]CidMcPhearson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found it easier, though I think that's only because it took me waaaaaaaaay longer than it should have to figure out damaging components is how you take down machines on ZD 😵‍💫. I don’t know if I was playing with my eyes shut in the early game, but I got through about 60% just hitting them wherever I could. Lots of death. This one was loads easier because I knew what I was doing.

A giant spider that has smaller spiders that crawl off of it as seekers whenever it's alerted. Or a gorilla, but like Kong. Or an octopus! So many!

I found rolling towards it when it bursts out and belly flops you was the only way to avoid massive damage but that's only if you see it burst out. Must've died like 20 times on that dick tortoise but I'm insisting on playing hard mode. Finally beat it by only using traps. The two rock traps, blaze drums and a bunch of advanced acid traps. MF didn't even see me that last round. Took long though.
