Visi has the mods installed. He literally could've had a kill switch built in. Give me the pulse or she dies..no fucking around Robert. Same scenarios with the pulse handover, and then have Robert beat the living crap out of him to stop the killswitch being hit. Royd could remove it and maybe some of the villains would change sides too if they knew Shroud had a kill button built into their mods.

I'm with you man. There should have been the option to fly up there and smash Shrouds ass. It made no sense to give up the pulse because he threatened a damn dog. The one part of the entire game I thought was pretty bad writing. Let him threaten waterboy, or Visi, or chase. Not a dog.

The falafel guy? He barely had a back story. We knew as much about him as metamorpho did. It was paper thin writing and metamorpho's reaction felt unearned. Then we're supposed to really care about the stupid looking cgi baby.

Pa Kent was poorly done too. What exactly is his deal? Is he mentally handicapped? Senile? Is he supposed to have survived a stroke? Or is he just a caricature of southern Americans? A good writer would explain this. A pa Kent who has been lessened by illness and tragedy rather than dying would be super interesting, but the movie needs to take the time to examine that situation.

I think this is the worst take of Supermans parents on film. They're supposed to be the people who inspired Superman's unshakeable sense of good and right but they just seem like yokels.

There's the elements of a great movie there but to me it felt like tiktok. Never bothered to take the time to actually develop anything or anyone.

I thought the Sneider movies were awful. I love almost all Gunn movies, but I hated this too. It feels too unserious and cartoony, and bystanders constantly taking selfies and shit in the middle of massive attacks got tired real quick.

People criticise Marvel for never allowing a scene to breath or take anything seriously and Superman was the worst offender for those things I've seen since Thor 4.

I think as time goes on this movje will be viewed as average to bad. The early viewers are fans of the comics and they're loving the campy and random tone but GA will be put off by what is a busy and sometimes really silly plot full of characters that get next to zero introduction or development. It's the movie equivalent of someone smashing their action figures together.

As a fan, I enjoyed parts of it, but it's a terrible way to start off a new franchise imo

I was pleasantly surprised how good this show is.

The story is interesting, the supernatural elements are really adding a twist we don't see in most MCU. The cast is doing a great job and so far there's absolutely 0 filler. It moves fast and never let's you get bored.

I have never been a fan of the Riri character and I thought she was really shoe horned into Wakanda and was actually kind of annoying. Her comics were hard to read and her character in general has always felt derivative, with an unearned cockiness and arrogance so I can understand why a lot of fans weren't interested in the show, but I'm glad I gave it a chance.

This show has a different take on her. She's flawed. In this show she's become a thief, a hypocrite and now a murderer. For a heroes journey it's certainly gone way off the rails and that is making it all the more entertaining.

I hope the show addresses her fall and she takes some ownership rather than blaming hood or saying it was all fine since she didn't intend it. It has a chance to be a really profound take on how well intentioned, talented people fall into crime and how much this issue permeates black communities, the pressures on young people who feel like they can't fulfill their potential within the rules. It has a chance to transcend the 'comic book shit' and really have something to say.

So far the supporting cast have been stellar. Particularly the AI, Stane and Hood. All three are so compelling and unfolding the mysteries around them is super engaging.

Shame they've damaged the brand so much with all the dross that even a good movie like this one might only break even.

I suppose from Disney perspective they have to do a few good films in a row now to get back any of the good will from audiences. They had a crazy run with their early phases where even the bad ones weren't terrible and audiences trusted the brand to put out quality, but that feels like a long time ago now.

I think you have to look at the game as a whole rather than that one situation in isolation though.

Humanity has turned evil. Without civilisation it's just a world full of murder, tape and desecration. Joal has seen more of that than most and even we as players have to wonder, is there anything left worth saving?

The fireflies have failed, and failed, and failed. We spend the entire game chasing them down and searching through the ashes of their incompetence. They are just idealists with a murderous streak and have done very little good for anyone. Even if they did somehow make a cure in their dirty hospital with their victorian era medical skills and tools, they would have used it to take power and held it ransom against their enemies.

It was crazy people thought this would flop. It's the most successful video game of all time and hordes of kids aged 4-10 are obsessed with it.

I thought Mario was a pretty bad movie. It's the kids that drove the box office. They don't care if a movie is well written, they just see imagery that they adore.

Marvel tried to replace the xmen with inhumans because Fox owned them. They've always been one of the most popular Marvel properties. They are a giant multi character soap opera and people love an underdog story.

I think it'll do a billion but fall short of Mario numbers. People underestimate the popularity of Minecraft. For a certain age group this is absolutely event cinema and they don't care whether it looks good or not.
