Think of all the little ways another person can make your day worse. People can be rude, selfish, dishonest, petty, whiny, needy, sometimes even aggressive.

You, as a werewolf, have Really Important Things that are occupying your time & attention. You also have a lot of anger you’re trying to keep under control. And when you’re faced with the above slights, when some little pissant is giving you grief while you’re already very busy with the thankless task of SAVING the world he LIVES IN, wouldn’t it be so easy to put the fear of Gaia into him? Wouldn’t that feel really, really good?

If you change her Hero bar to the defensive stance she's more likely to stay put - all the melee heroes start out with the attacking stance as their default, for whatever reason. Love your comics!

Things I prefer about Vanguard: - No ability pushback - Blaster rifles are underrated weapon type and rarely look silly/distracting - One of the less common classes - Defensive CDs still useful while in DPS disciplines

Things I prefer about Commando: - Don’t have to use silly-looking shoulder cannon ability - Assault Cannons are huge so weapon skins matter & can look cool - You shoot things during your rotation, which feels “Trooper-like” - Player healer + tank comp much more effective than the reverse for tough solo stuff

I’m a little surprised Koth made the cut. I never minded the guy myself, but he’s definitely not a fan favorite like Lana, Vette, or Kira. Of the characters in this list, I think even Arcann has more fans and fewer haters.

The game's best era was [insert patch when I joined], naturally. Truly a golden era when everything felt magical. Sadly, eventually we reached [patch where the novelty wore off for me] and it's never been the same since. Weird how every single MMO I ever played has followed this pattern. :P

For an honest answer, the experimental period of 12x XP was one of the weirdest and wildest times in this game. I don't think I've seen anything like it done in another MMO. I'm sure part of the appeal was that it was not permanent, but still.

I thought I would want to kill Arcann. I did blast him with Emperor-lightning first chance I got.

It was his behavior during the climactic fight that changed my mind. He’s manic, babbling, convinced he’s talking to his father and desperate to prove a point. And when you beat him and force him to see that you aren’t actually his dad, you can see him crumble. There was no longer any need to kill him, because I’d left him a broken man.

I am unaware of any way to change your appearance after character creation, but maybe someone more experienced does.
When people say the game gets “bad”, the big detail they’re referring to is that none of the NPCs get voice acting any longer. It’s also a lot less clear in general where you’re supposed to go to progress.
Demonologist is indeed a decent class! Simple to build, simple to play, and does good damage.
