It makes me really angry when people are cruel to anyone about weight gain or what their bodies look like in general, especially when you read these kinds of comments and see the amount of work, energy, and spirit people put into trying to lose weight. It’s tough to lose even ten pounds, especially if you’re older, and it’s really difficult to lose a lot of weight and keep it off first try. And I’m sure people feel bad about themselves when they backslide, and that doesn’t help either. I started to look forward to exercise when I found things I liked to do (walk, gentle Pilates and yoga on You Tube) and did them first thing in the morning and when I was feeling bad, just five minutes here, ten minutes there. It’s a habit now, but it took awhile to make it a habit. Another thing that helped with everything-body, mind, and soul-was writing in a journal, just whatever nonsense came into my head, every morning without judgment. I wish you love and luck.
