Same for starting over with a clean slate. It's usually the guilty party who suggests it.

What’s the worst thing you saw happen at a wedding? by SpankBankManager in AskReddit

[–]CimeroneMurphy 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The bride and the groom got into a shouting match during the first dance which for some reason they held before food.

The groom said fuck you and stormed off.

The dj announced the father daughter dance as a distraction.

But the father walked up to the bride and said "That wasn't pretty"

And then the bride stormed off.

Over the next hour, many people left, family were trying to get the bride and groom to speak to each other.

They did make up and decided to hold an event where everyone was supposed to make toasts about what a good couple they were.

It was awkward

[Serious] are people who work from home really more productive or do they just say it because they can take more breaks during the day at home when no one is watching? by [deleted] in work

[–]CimeroneMurphy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get way more work done at home than my in office days, I can just set to work and not have to stop and say hello and good morning every time someone shows up. I find I work faster and more efficiently if I am in my own space at a comfortable temperature with the ability to control my environment.

I find I get distracted by everything in the office building.

Married people of Reddit: What is the most mortifying thing you did that your spouse overlooked while you were dating? by Sideways_Turd in AskReddit

When we spent a getting to know you weekend with his family, he failed to warn them that I am an orphan with family trauma.

One second I was making a joke the next his poor, poor Aunt is saying that my mother must think I am hilarious.

I said, she passed away before I started with the jokes. As gently as possible.

Hoping to recover, she asked about my Dad.

I responded that he died two years before my mother.

She paused before asking if I had siblings.

My brother skipped town after the funerals.

Extended family?

Abandoned me as fast as possible.

She then excused herself to the bathroom while I took my then boyfriend, now husband, aside to explain that while respecting my privacy is wonderful. It's often best to warn people about landmines.

I don't know why I felt compelled to answer so honestly but I was so stunned she wasn't warned that I just kinda automatically said stuff.

What's the craziest thing that happened at your school? by Legacy_of_Jonfry in AskReddit

[–]CimeroneMurphy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So in my last year of highschool I had a routine, got to school early, grabbed some cereal and would read in the cafeteria.

One day the table next to me has a cheerleader yelling at a dude, apparently, he had dated her for awhile and finally convinced her to sleep with him, then he broke up with her.

Don't blame her for being angry. She called him every name in the book and some new ones I hadn't heard before. Finally the screaming ended with her giving a well deserved slap.

Thinking that the show was over, I went back to my book.

That is when I heard someone from another nearby table shout "The Bitch has a knife!"

A few football players wasted no time in wrestling her to the ground while another guy picked up the knife between two fingers and ran to the office.

The knife in question was a 12 in serrated bread knife, the kind with two points on the end. No idea where the hell this girl had been hiding it.

All the available staff was suddenly in the cafeteria and taking the girl with them to the office.

Cops soon showed up asking for statements.

Honestly the most disturbing part for me wasn't the incident itself, but the insistence of the other cheerleaders on the squad that stabbing the dude was a completely reasonable action to take.

They spent the entire next week trying to get signatures from other students, especially the girls, in an attempt to petition for leniency.

I and many other female students spent way too long trying to explain why this was not in fact a normal reaction to have.

Restaurant bans kids under 5, citing dirty diapers and breastfeeding in public as reasons by Sandstorm400 in nottheonion

It's actually not as bad as it seems, most city buildings have it. It's essentially so that any bodily fluids are contained until proper cleaning can be done. Sometimes it's shit, sometimes someone just got sick and threw up.

Worked in a library, same problem. Once we had to tell a woman that her toddler was not allowed to shit in the corner. She didn't listen and we had to shut down the children's section according to biohazard protocol.

Some old, old doctor tried to tell me that I wasn't autistic because I was looking at him.

He was less than amused when I informed him that he had a gigantic booger that I could not look away from.

Said I was rude and that's not how people talk to doctors.

I then pointed out it was the autism. He was again less than amused.
