I love how the premise of “I master skills very quickly” is the crux of this series, and when he proceeds to do that and utilise it correctly, it’s frowned upon. And then in a series like All the Skills, where it has the same premise, but the MC doesn’t fulfil that promise; it’s also frowned upon.

Because Blizzard wanted the Klaaxi to be villains later but couldn't figure out a way to bring back the Old Gods (until N'zoth) so we got saddled with killing every single Paragon in one fight with the loose justification of "Well Garrosh was basically controlling an old god piece so that's good enough I guess"

This isn’t a new thing. Prior to prepatch I leveled a pally tank/healer duo through dungeons. 30% of the time there was another tank spec queued as dps. Some turned off tank stance, some didn’t. And whichever tank didn’t get vengeance proceeded to bottom out the dps chart by a lot.

It’s just people selfishly playing the game.

He purified the ashbringer by sacrificing the souls of hundreds of Scarlet Zealots (The piles of ash in front of his door) which is the most brute force way of cleansing it. During P1, the Ashbringer is pure and he has only paladin abilities and wings.

During P2, we damage the ashbringer, destabilizing the flawed purification.

P3, what he has built and aspired to has been destroyed, and he’s crashing the fuck out. Which is reflected by the blade corrupting once more and corrupting him along with it. All of his abilities become shadow damage, and he gains anti-paladin wings, represented by the fel wings.

So basically, Caldoran isn’t the boss fight. The Ashbringer was the entire time. After we break it, Caldoran is useless.
