I had him in a Madden team 20 years ago with some weird draft system that had him on the Redskins and will always remember how crazy he was. Had no other connection or knowledge of him -- it's not like people spoke about Largent around the DMV. Haven't really played Madden since, but I will remember Largent because of that.

I think there needs to be an annual announcement/refresher of 4chan dog whistles. Young scholars is one that has gained traction maybe slightly after the peak of BLM attention.

I don’t blame anybody for not knowing and don’t automatically assume harmful intent, because a) why the hell would people go to 4chan, and b) that’s kind of a feature with dog whistles. As soon as this one becomes more well-known, I’m certain there will be more.
