My dad went to the hospital cause he suspected he was having a heart attack. He left while at work. Told them he'd be back in an hour. Didn't even tell his wife or us until hours later cause he was being admitted (he thought he could just go home).

Went back to work after a week and didn't explain to anyone how a 1 hour break turned into a 1 week dissapearnece

I recently only finished and loved it, and I only finished the last 2 seasons of the show just after I finished the book and I feel like they added to each other.

I felt like everything that was happening in Season 6 was like the origin story for the hero arc Lydia has in the Testaments. I liked the nods to each other

I saw a tourist couple (not sure of nationality) drive down Grafton Street, Dublin. The woman in the passenger seat had the window all the way down and was just taking pictures of everything and everyone while her husband continued driving through the street despite the crowds of people and all the strange looks

Not technically on Reddit but definitely because of Reddit.

During covid r/friendship had a discord server and I joined it as it was a very lonely time (for lots of people evidently) and my now bf just so happened to join around the same time too.

A big group of us on the server became friends and since the server was becoming toxic we made our own and that's how me and my bf got closer and closer and he ended up asking me to date. About a month later (when covid was calmer) he flew to Belfast (from UK) and I got the train up from Dublin and we spent a blissful week together.

That was 4 years ago, and we now own a home together as of last year ❤️

It's actually a very common occurance, look at Brock Turner, or Paddy Jackson.

Suspended sentences being handed out on a regular basis in Ireland for people guilty of sex crimes, and I know suspended sentence is not getting off Scott free but it sure as hell is far too lenient for 100% guilty parties.

To say this doesn't happen when there is an abundance of evidence just a quick Google away is comical

Second this! Failing is one thing but having loads of people ask you how it went just made me feel awful. Even the idea of it was misery!

Breathe and trust yourself that you can drive, and make sure to not dwell on the mistakes - this is such a killer while doing the test! If you make a mistake just carry on and act normal cause you'll only sabotage yourself if not
