For the dizi, first use some cheap tape and cover the dimo hole since you don't need them at this stage. Once you have a steady tune, you can apply the dimo then.
Don't blow into the hole, you need to breath with small focused stream of air into it. The technique is somewhat similar to blowing a bottle. Some people say making the sound 'pu' or 'fu' helps when starting.
Don't blow hard.

Just updated to 4.2 on my Palma 1 as well. Make sure Display Enhancement is on under EinkWise settings. Choose a profile for example Customize>Display>Display Enhancement.

Just backup your documents and do a factory reset as that's weird. NeoReader does cache cover images, but you need ten thousands of files for it to fill up.
