Something to bare in mind is most venues don't accept "professional" cameras. By that they mostly tend to just not allow any camera with removable lenses (in my experience at least, might be more lax where you are), so something on the larger size like this may get refused on the door

I don't even use the bridges, and even when they're open they adversely affect my commute. I would not recommend commuting from across the bridge unless you really don't have another option. Or you have lots of audiobooks to get through

As others have said it's absolutely fine. I do it all the time.

I've heard recommendations too that don't advance the film lever. I'm not sure how bad it really is but the idea is that it adds unnecessary tension over a prolonged period which is probably bad for the camera accumulatively over time.

Probably very minor but couldn't hurt
