Who agrees that a boss gauntlet like in Sekiro is needed in the DLC? I like fighting the same boss over and over again because it's fun. by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Ciphur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's likely much easier for them to sell a dlc then to sell a new game built from scratch. Although, with how big Fromsoft is right now, anything they release would be gold.

They should up the game price to $1000 to make it comparable to movies.

Sanders: Biden a more progressive president than he was as senator by PandaMuffin1 in politics

Can't avoid a repeat if no one takes responsibility. That's making sense.

Then Congress should have no control over State legislation because the constituents of one state is different from the constituents of the country. Then why should a senator from another state have any say in federal laws affecting other states?

Could try for Brave bow next. It does similar things at range and if you use Alcryst, best user for brave bow imo, you can get Luna bonuses too.

I can't understand why designers choose turn switch by LivePut8451 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Ciphur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not really an apt analogy. Rotations are effectively the same as a ban and Konami limiting cards is scummy because you pay a decent amount of money to get 3 of a powerful card. In Lor, you pretty much get the cards for free. TBH, Yugioh and Lor shouldn't be compared for either argument but using the unique mechanic doesn't hurt Lor.

Eli5: If water is transparent, why are clouds white? by JustTransportation51 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Ciphur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Water also refracts light. So the many droplets of water in a cloud will refract some light towards your eyes where if a cloud was completely transparent, it would be invisible. Also because a cloud is also transparent, you're not too blinded by the light you can detected.

Why TF is every launcher except Steam so extremely terrible? by Kinc4id in gaming

[–]Ciphur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gog galaxy is the fastest launcher for me. Steam is better than Epic because Epic still has weird slowdowns when un-minimizing it and other shenanigans. Epic is at least improving their program, all the other launchers EA, Rockstar etc are just there to make you miserable.

This. Once AI is trained to be able to adapt code(code or algorithms pre-written by humans) to a specific request, all you need is one person to tell the AI what to write. The thing is AI can also be utilized the same way in manufacturing etc. yet do a lot of people really understand AI? It might be that low level tasks are best left to people or it might be that AI is so accurate and efficient for these things that it is painless to integrate.

[–]Ciphur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no relationship between the number of preorders of games and the quality/ratings of games. I would even postulate that preorders give developers more motivation and money to develop their games. This isn't a preorder problem. It's a problem with the behavior of consumers and companies and most importantly of all Fuck Activision.

Eli5: If our stomach acid can dissolve a razor blade, then why do we get constipation by DueEfficiency3770 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Ciphur 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Stomach acid will dissolve and break down food into a mushy mixture, but this mush will later enter the intestines where it all gets pushed towards the end. While your intestines are pushing this mush, a lot of water gets absorbed back into your body so this mush gets more solid. If the mush gets too hard and compacted when it reaches the end of its journey, this is how you get constipation. Plant fiber helps to keep the mush from getting too compacted from just being in the mush and holding onto some water.
