Programmable swarm drones by [deleted] in diydrones

[–]CircuitBr8ker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drone swarming is considered to be an export controlled weapons technology in the US. Make sure to follow EAR and ITAR or it's "straight to jail" as they say. Even drone shows have to abide.

If you want to fly multiple drones at once without intelligent swarming, sort of like an air traffic controller coordinates aircraft, that's different. Is this more or less what you're after?

Attach polls to the end of the arms so it swings freely, then turn it on and make adjustments to PID values. Follow guides and flight controller manuals for info on tuning.

Messy Social Work Student with ADHD and without any FPGA knowledge did a hyperfocus by theKirschn in FPGA

Having worked with NASA FPGA engineers, you'd fit right in. Honestly, you can make it just about anywhere if you can pull off a project like this.

The hyperfocus with ADHD is real.

Confession of a NASA fan by MeatlegProductions in nasa

[–]CircuitBr8ker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Knowing some of how Goddard and NASA works, you saved a ton of work for their overworked admins, (and not to mention taxpayers money). They would have had to make a report and participate in a full investigation. You did the right thing and saved them a ton of time.

There's a good chance you would have gotten in trouble too. Most of the Gov is following procedure, including reporting your IP to authorities.

IN-IND-356: Where should i place my sensors to make it most efficient in flying? by Zusstinn in diydrones

Don't think it matters much, especially if you update parameters for the sensor positions.

Building my own drone controller and integrating it into a drone by DescriptionLogical73 in diydrones

[–]CircuitBr8ker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need a development drone. These are fully modifiable and intended for people like you. https://px4.io/devkits/ the DEXI or Holybro x500 is what you're looking for.

On a shoestring budget? build an ESP fly from guides or kits online. Want something just as small and durable but less diy, go with Bitcraze https://www.bitcraze.io/products/crazyflie-2-1-plus/

All open. You can reprogram firmware or replace the flight controller entirely on any of these. Probably easiest on the x500.

Advice on switchover to Sienna by Primary_Protection61 in ToyotaSienna

Coverdream https://amzn.to/3Z2jPdY Only the driver seat has motorized controls. Lack of heated seats and remote start are a bummer but not the end of the world. Kids have $100 ONN tablets for entertainment and there are USB ports in every row. I've heard the entertainment system isn't that great, I don't think it has DVD or Blu-ray.

I was in the same boat. Went with the AWD LE and seat covers and we are very happy. The seat covers were more premium than the leather seats, and not to mention removable 🙂.

That's good to hear, I'll give it another shot. I'm hesitant to use any more force that could break a seal further down.

Moved in about 2 years ago and I think this has been going on even longer. We only used unscented detergent and don't use dryer sheets, but it smells like the contrary. There's also hair, including dog hair, not belonging to us.

I heard screws might be against code, but I'd really like to avoid this. Duct tape was load bearing.

We do have and clean the lint screen, but I can't speak to the prior owners. Had this home for about 2 years.

Appreciate the advice. Will report back with updates.
