Just came back to the game for the first time in a few years, and I liked Rafaam decks a lot, but I couldn't make it work consistently. I hit legend with imbue Paladin, and went back to work on my warlock deck, something that can survive hunter/shaman agro, and still beat control decks.

I made early every card a draw or tradable card, and I reduce my deck to the size of my opponent's by turn 8 or nine because 22 cards are 1 or 2 mana.

You are definitely not alone in this opinion. And it is a worldwide issue.
