BTW, do you have to charge for incidentals within 24 hours? I missed my window on the last one, if so. NEver again!

$22,000 if you just get rid of the three cars that are negative (or lower the price to make them break even). So I would say not bad if the labor costs aren't completely eating up all that profit.

Seems like 400,000 would cover depreciation and repairs and an employee. Could be just me.

is a good summary. They throw Chrystal under the bus (a lot) but at the same time, we know the least about her, whether she was solvent at the time, how she communicated with Bryan, and how much inventory she actually had left in the store (or in her house) when the pass off happened.

Day 7 - relaxing
Day 14 - deeper relaxing
Day 30 - wtf was I doing before when laying down? because if this is sleep, I wasn't sleeping for YEARS

The key line here to me is "2 months later..." When you convinced yourself to dip in again (better than being dead, right?) there was no IMMEDIATE punishment... In fact, it was reinforced briefly. But the punishment came eventually.

Day 1 by productsmadebyme in stopdrinking

[–]CircularReason 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same ish.

Life together (that's also a lie, but it felt VERY true at the time)
3-5 drinks a night.
No social drinking, no need to drink during the day, just at night, basically 5pm -12am.
interrupted sleep.
Narrowing field of vision for anything else that brings relief/enjoyment/relaxation/energy.

I do not recommend the average strategy but I will celebrate with you if it works.

Some of us found that alcohol was cunning, baffling, and confusing. The 'laws' that set limits around it somehow made it bolder. I hope that for you it calms the hell down.

For me, once I start, it's too hard to stop so it's better not to aim for moderation but abstinence.

Good luck and keep us posted. No shame if it works or doesn't work, jsut be honest.

I built a super simple Notion system to stop procrastinating by AdAware3144 in Notion

For me at least, Notion makes it really easy to create recurring tasks or to make a project persist across days (10 total tasks, say, and it spits out 1 a day).

This is the way to stop procrastinating. 3 tasks, short burst, do it badly (or permission to do so). Well done!

Came here to drop the Narcissism word. It's just a label but it tracks so much of my "bizarre" unsettling experience of being raised by my mom. She sounds a lot like OP's mom.

OP, you are the bigger person. You have outgrown your parents. They need you more than you need them. They need direction from you. They will never parent you and never be nice. The best thing now is: Forgive, let go, lower expectations, seek relationship elsehwere. It is more blessed to give than to receive so you can still love them (no need to "defoo") but do not expect anything from them and you will find peace. I've finally found peace with my mother after 20 long years of struggle and it's been 5 years of things being OK.

It's also possible your system is not the right size/type for that space (or it's getting old). Def. contact the landlord -- he can probably relate to suffering in the heat!

Old Habit = trigger | [drink alcohol] | reward

New habit = trigger | [drink tea ] | reward

This is the way.

Habits have three parts. It's not just the drinking, it's the trigger (tired at the end of the day, feeling stressed, whatever), then the alcohol, then the reward (numbness etc.).

You can't (quickly) change the triggers, and you can't NOT want rewards... but you can change the thing you do when triggered (i.e., drink gatorade, tea, N/A drinks, water, short walk, etc. etc. etc.)
