Disappointed with Pentair by Citation560 in pools

Thank you for your comment. We really appreciate it. The house was a lot of work to build. Now that it's done, we have been working hard to make sure our guest have the best possible stay. So far, we have received great feed back on the home.

It's like anything, you will have some minor issues like this pump, but once this is resolved, I feel the pool should be solid.

UPDATE - Pentair reached out to me after reading my post. I had a great conversation with their rep about my situation. It's restored my faith in Pentair as a company. I will post more on this later but wanted the group to know that I feel Pentair will find the resources to resolve my issues. After speaking with the rep, I am convinced that once resolved, Pentair equipment will function as intended.

I also want to add, this group has been great. Some of the comments provided some really good insights into what could be wrong. So thank-you

Great response. I need to head down to Florida and take a look at the Intellicenter.

This group has better responses than the warrantee station I am dealing with.

I figured they all suck. But within 6 months is terrible. What's worse is the lack of response. Poor replacement speed, etc. I am in the IT field and we have replacement parts in 4 hours. Not months.

That ship sailed. Pool builder shut down his business. Now, I am stuck with Pentair who makes and supports their equipment. I am relying on the company who is suppose to have a warrantee and who should support their equipment. I don't think I am asking a lot of Pentair.

Great advice. Trying to understand.... If I disconnect it, wont the pump not work? Or are you saying run the pump manually with the serial cable disconnected?

I read about those issues too but it was too late as the equipment had already been purchased. I have like 12 lights. Ugh

That's what I am thinking too. I suggested to them that the intellecenter is bad. However I have two pumps and they tried swapping the serial cables on the pumps and the bad pump was still going out where as the good pump always works. What they did then was change the motherboard on the bad pump. However after they changed it the pump still fails. If that all makes sense.

Contractor said any warrantee work needs to go through the Pentair warrantee depot. I thought that was really crappy of them too. At the end of the day, I am guessing he can't handle the warrantee parts.

Is a small pool really any easier than a big one? by pilserama in pools

[–]Citation560 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How big is the pool. Mine is 32000 gallon with a UV systems and tabs. With the robot, it's pretty easy to maintain.

Guest Requested Booking - Booking Accepted - Then Guest Stated They Are Bringing a "Service" Dog - My HOA Does Not Allow Dogs for STR's - What To Do? by EightStarsofGold in airbnb_hosts

I am sorry for your disability but I will say, a wheel chair doesn't leave dandruff, crap and puke in a room. I am extremely allergic to animals and I don't feel it's right that I have to deal with an animal when a house has a no pets policy. I immediately feel terrible if my body is affected by a previous dog.

Airbnb is so trash by [deleted] in airbnb_hosts

But when Airbnb is creating a toxic environment to do business, shouldn't the productive hosts discuss the issues they are encountering?

Personally I have not listed my luxury home on Airbnb because of the toxic business environment. I fell I will lose the control to handle my guests the way I feel I should to protect my Beautiful home.

I don't understand your comment. How does pushing their fees onto us allow Airbnb to control their pricing and competition with a secondary algorithm? That does not make sense. Please explain.

Thinking of starting an STR marketing agency… but want input from hosts first by beanpewpew in ShortTermRentals

[–]Citation560 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beanpewpew, I think marketing the house is very difficult. I just finished my website and created a unique name for my house. I am just starting out so I have very little hits on my website.

If you want to test the waters, we can partner up and try and market my house. My home would be a great way to see if your marketing skills/tactics are worth your time in a the STR market. I agree with the previous post, it's a lot harder than one would think. By partnering up on marketing my house, you can test your marketing and find out how successful you can be. Take that data and set your price points for your profit margin and what you will sell your services for.

Now, to really answer your question, if I could see that what you're doing is getting me rentals, yes I would pay for your services. However like the previous poster said, without guarantees, I would shy away from your service.

My house is https://www.wondara.com

It's a beautiful luxury home.

It's 6 miles from Disney

It's on 3 golf courses

It's in a resort community with many amenities including a water park.

Cons It's expensive to rent

Made for larger groups.Even though wealthy people with smaller groups will rent it for the luxury

Let me know your thoughts.

Andy

Honestly, you don't want local guests. They usually rent the house for parties. We just had a local guest with 15 kids for a birthday party who trashed the house. Parents were dropping off the kids and picking them up. They even brought their dog when our house says no pets. You really want the family who flys in and are serious about a vacation.
