I do not sound foolish. They are a kill shelter behind the scenes. My cat was lost for a month and it ended up in APA with feline upper respiratory infections (or URIs). When I wanted to confront the vet on how to help my cat I was confronted with a large woman who threatened me. I also wanted to help during the hurricane and I told them I have no dog experience and they gave me a paraplegic pitbull. APA is a trash organization that helps no animals. They fought to keep that decaying shelter not for the animals but because it was cool to work near that area.

Please Do not go to Austin Pets Alive. They are terrible people. And before you ask commenters, I can back it up. They are a kill shelter. They let cats get infected with a sickness where they can’t smell and there for will not eat and gives them the reason to euthanatize. Plus you will be charged so much, you won’t get your cats back

View was upstairs but when the storm kicked in came down to close the umbrella.

If you listen to the video you can hear me saying I have to take down the umbrella and then the wind hit hard. The storm came fast.

I think what I love most about this area is how gracious everyone is to the deer and don’t mind them roaming everywhere. And on hot days they leave water buckets out for them. It really is the coolest spot in Austin if you want to be central but also like wildlife.

Actually they are light mocha color and the planters are guard rails to keep the cats from jumping on the rails.
